School Fee of kids for 居英權 parents

My hubby has 居英權, and he is the 2nd generation. His father who used to be a civil servant has got the 居英權 originally and passed to him when he was young.

And now I want to send my son to study year 9 in UK (he is holding a HKSAR passport) in 2016, I am wondering if he could get any study benefit when he study university in the future？ If so, what will be the procedure？

The short answer is "no" even if you are holding a UK passport.  To qualified for "Home student" fee status, you must be an Ordinary Resident in UK or EU for 3 years prior to the course start which doesn't include full time education (for example: boarding school).

How about if my kids has birtish passport ? which is also applied through 居英權 parent ?

As your child does not have UK passport, he is treated as an overseas student.  He needs to apply for visa in order to study in UK.

樓主問大學可否交local fee, 据我所知, 住寄宿中学不等同 live in the UK, 加上樓主孩子無UK passport, 点申請大學 local student status?

甘又不是，有朋友没交税，有公校收，不用比學費，只是比住宿費。自己去找的學校大多數不成功，他是agent 找的，要學校做些程序才可以。快些找agent 問吧！

另外有加籍朋友，由於親戚有交税，以他做監護人也可不用比學費讀公校。
