Very difficult to apply primary IS, need advise

My daughter just moved from Australia to HK , holding australian passport, only speaks english
Currently studing K3 at icms
I found it extremely difficult to apply primary school for 2016/2017 year 1 intake
can please recommend me any school to apply?
So far I have applied 3 schools but all seems no chance

SIS - seems prefer singaporean citizen
AIS - even being australian dont have much priority as others applied 2 years ago
ESF bradbury - year 2 intake, waiting list (10-20 waiting list)

we are currently staying hk island and willing to move

any other IS may have shorter waiting list?

because if we cant find a primary school for her, i have to bring her overseas ( im currently workinging in HK)

I was told that schools with only the primary section are a bit easier to get in. Maybe worth focusing on those.
Also second ICA, very caring and understanding. Have you heard of Norwegian International School? Locationwise a bit far away but like ICA very caring.

Don't worry. We were in similar situation 3 years ago and all worked out in the end.

You also consider Korean International School in Sai Wan Ho.  The comments about this school are positive.

Not quite .. Priority is given to passport holders

DIS accept application from birth, P1 there were 100 in waiting list, but above 80 said defer. You can try Delia school of Canada in Taikoo.

maybe also try Discovery International School.  Their reputation is very good. both students and parents love it.

We applied AIS in 2014 autumn, for academic year 2015. Just trying to say, it seems there is a long queue waiting for a seat at AIS, the truth that happened to me was not like that. But avaibikity may varies every year.
My boy goes to CAIS now. Grade 1.
If u may want to know why, CAIS is nearer to home comments on CAIS are more positive, to me.

You can only apply to one ESF Foundation school according to the catchment zone your residential address falls within, but besides this you could also apply to Renaissance College and Discovery College which are also under the ESF umbrella but are Private Independent Schools having their own separate admission process.

May I ask so you applied in oct 2014 for year 1 2016 intake?
but as you said, if they only inform u the interview during apr or may.
you probably went for another school as this is quite uncertain
may I know at the end which school did you choose?

For AIS, maybe I can share some experience with u. Applied year 1 ard the end of cot last year and was informed the waiting list was very long. But surprisingly, the school called us for an interview ard next April or May.
Somehow the situation is not that worse.
We didn't go to the interview at the end, though. Coz we got offer from another school.
(My kid holds Australia passport as well)
