No, they have a textbook.
At the time when my son was studying at British Council at Primary 1-5, they are suing the same level UK textbook. Content are interesting, they will have grammar, composition, discussion & presentation. The textbook covers a lot of areas which is suitable to student at that age.
British Council have entrance test to divide the students according to their different levels. Same level of students will be grouped which enhance the learning.
My son was exciting when he attended the lessons and benefit a lot. It widen his exposure in English e.g. the famous actors in UK(P.6 textbook he used when he was in P.5), Attending clinic because of of illness(P.4 using P.5 textbook)......
