關於入讀醫科

我女女宜家F.5，選課Chem Bio Econ M1，佢一向好想讀醫佢成績都幾好，全級前五
但佢比較少參與校內活動（例如學生會，prefect等等都冇參與），亦冇乜參與課餘活動，除左彈琴已考獲ATCL之外
我見好多其他家長幫仔女安排好多額外課程（急救課程等），亦參與好多義工服務。。
相反我女女專注於學業，根本沒有時間去參與課外活動及做義工，佢身邊好多同學義工服務鐘數有百幾二百個鐘，而佢只有三十幾個鐘。。又較少參與校內活動，怕到時履歷表上沒東西填
我看見好多選讀醫科既狀元都話經常參與義工服務或校內活動，請問大學是否很著重這些？
如果係，我應唔應該叫女女參加多些義工服務補救？但中五課程緊張又怕影響佢學習。。。
另外，我看到有些同學能在醫院當義工，請問大家知道邊度可以報名嗎？

其實d 打手/揾食既人都應該有子女, 作為家長的將心比心不要只為一餐飯而埋沒良知, 積德啊!

[color=rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961)]早年舊制下讀數而入醫學院已經唔多，依家更少，我覺得係因為醫學生女仔越來越多，女仔少D鍾意數，所以會咁。但唔代表無 Bio 底會跟唔上。[color=rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.7019607843137254)]
[color=rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961)]讀數入醫學院而中途轉系嘅同學，我估其實係根本唔鍾意醫科，純粹因為公開試成績好，入到醫科所以入；讀讀下醒悟，轉走係好事。

[color=rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961)]其實數學有用架。依家唔止大學醫院會做硏究，其他醫院都做。硏究要用 statistics，認真做硏究嘅甚至會去讀相關嘅 statistics course，無底嘅會讀到牙痛咁聲。

In the old days, a lot of elite students who chose phy chem A Math and Pure Math got into medical schools, and they studied well then. They studied ce biology, though there is a gap between ce and biological science in medical schools, ALL of them got through well.

In the new dse system, students who did not choose biology learned only a little bit knowledge in biology in F.3, which is quite a problem in their study in their junior years in medical schools. However if these students make the necessary effort, the lack of biology in dse should not be an obstacle to study medicine.

其實面試問下學生有無參與医療服務是想您們了解自已是否真的有興趣，作為終生職業。我外姪女便是例子，在醫院做了一個月義務医生助手，就發覺不適合做，其後成績好也不申請入讀医科。英囯更是入医科的人—定有此經驗也考慮，當然成績—定要達標，香港也是跟着類似方向走，bio無讀，就算入了，也多兩年後轉系多，不之看了多少例子！

港大收生要求一定要考Chem, 因醫科要運用好多Chem的理論知識, 可不考Biology, 因為Year 1會教.  但如DSE沒 ...

無讀bio,入了也應過不了兩年，要轉系。大有例子

Medical school entry criteria based on academic rather than volunteer work
No extra mark will be placed on volunteer work.
If you have loaded abundant history of volunteer work but weak in presentation and academic result, you will be advised to work as paramedical or even 醫療輔助隊。
