Hi dear parents,

I am a new comer in this group.  My daughter has got the offer from DGS and SPCC.  Finally we picked SPCC.  

The school has started for over two weeks.  I am much delighted and relieved that she is happy and excited with the school.  

I'd love to read more sharing right here.  May you please continue your sharing here?

Hi ABC-DAD,

I haven't login BK for a long while.  I have a group of friends from BK at the stage of kindergarten.  Now we are still good friends with each other and communicate well through whatsapp.

Time flies.  It's a new page for Secondary life.

hmm...what I would share.....

(1) Spanish
My daughter has learned Spanish for around two years.  At first I would switch her to learn Spanish in SPCC.  However, I think the course in the school is too demanding.  It's two hours for two days in a week.  Moreover, the finished time is 6pm.  It's busy time in Central.  Finally, I have made up my mind and let her continue her one-on-one private lesson.

(2) Summer Homework
I think the design of summer homework in SPCC is meaningful and educational to the students. It encourages the students to read the books with quality and makes sure that they fully understand the content.  It is much better than those simply doing the workbooks or requesting pointless book reports which can be copied easily in the internet.

(3) English
She loves her English teacher.  She said the teacher had made another wonderful powerpoint and designed some funny homework for them.

(4) Chinese
haha.... she said she had to wait and see if she really can learn much from her....well...let's see...

(5) Activities
She would join many clubs... I believe that she will make a right choice for herself.  She has been longing for the workshop of harmonica.  In her previous school, harmonica and guitar both are not counted as musical instrument.  Perhaps it was mainly classified in this way for examination in her previous school.  Last week she told me with excitement "Mom... you know... we have "Harmonica Orchestra" in SPCC.  It's so cool.  The morning assembly with the introduction of music department is very awesome too."

(6) Classmates
All the classmates are very friendly.  Though she is a new student in her form, they all treat her so well.   Some even accompany her to have lunch in the school and bring her to walk to the MTR station after lessons.

How about you?  How many children do you have in SPCC?  Senior form or junior form?  I am sorry that I can't trace back your previous posts but I do remember you are quite active and helpful here.  :)

Looking forward to hearing more about SPCC.

oh...definitely you have to stay here often.. Otherwise, it will become dull here.


My daughter is coming from one of prestigious girl's schools.  I would say the rank of the school is just below SPCC and DGS.  Many friends think if I would switch my daughter to IB because the DSE result of her previous school is very sound and good too.

hm...I believe God will guide my daughter to choose what is suitable for her.  At this moment, I still cannot tell IB or DSE which is good for her.  Hope she will enjoy the school life and make her own choice.  

By the way, there was an article about the complaint of IB teachers on unreliable Apple Daily.  Is there any parents here to share if it is true or it is just a rumour?

If the IB teachers are really bad, how come the IB results are consistently good in the past few years?  I do hope to hear more about the story behind.

Hi Tassie,
No la........ The first year in RC is just like a kindergarten.  It is equivalent to K3 in local school.  

You know... I didn't bring my girl to take any interviews from Kindergarten to Primary.  It was so lucky to skip that torturing step.  

At that moment, I thought she was very silly and childish.  As such, we didn't let her have any interviews including DGJS and SPCCPS.  

Lucky that she was accepted by that Girl's school during Lucky Draw.  We thought it was no harm to try a more disciplined school.

When she was in P.6, her primary school stated clearly that it is not allowed to have any interviews for Secondary schools so as to guarantee the place in F.1.  Once again, she also didn't take any interviews from P.6 to F.1.

All above road was led by God step by step without any plan.  This time she would change the school just because she showed her capability to us.  Moreover, I have many friends' kids who are studying in these schools.  I am aware of the advantages and disadvantages of these schools which fit my daughter more.

I think the majority of kids have studied in 3 different schools in Kindergarten, Primary and then Secondary.  It is not much different from my daughter's case.

It seems that you and me are the only parents here.  Very quiet indeed...


Do you have any idea to park the car near the school?  Any suggestion?


My daughter selected IT-music.  However, her classmates told her that it's quite boring.  hmm... hope it is not so bad as her classmates described.  

She said she had regretted not to pick DT.  It sounds very interesting.  I guess she will choose DT next year.

For the second term, she will take Art.  It is definitely her interest without any regret. haha...

由開學至今，每天她都有開心分享，我也知道她喜歡這所學校。

昨天跟她傾計，她無意中拋了一句，更是心甜。

媽咪：我認為真是無揀錯學校。呢間學校課程編排好好，教學內容又不錯，連同學們也特別好玩。我們沒選擇錯呢！

我只不過想，若果去什麼家長會，難道要把車停在中環。 附近好似無乜車位。

囡囡各方面適應得好好，她說所有新生將安排跟校長見面。 學校各方面都照顧周到。我期待 ROP，這是個難得經驗。 由於我訓練她很獨立，我想我不會太掂掛她，安心等待她回來的分享。

IB and DSE 各有利弊，我亦不知怎選擇，唯有睇多些你們的分享，讓她自己決定。

原來老師在LS堂有提及 online addict, 舉例 高登網 和 Baby Kingdom.

My daughter likes English Debate. Definitely she will go to audition.

I also asked her if she would join "Student Exchange Program".  However, she said she would have some time to be accustomed to the first-year school life in SPCC.  well... certainly I respect her plan.

My daughter will join interclass sports competition and also some races on Sports Day for sure.

My daughter told me that she needs to go back school for a ceremony on Saturday morning.  Besides, she signed up to take duty for I.S. Department on Sunday.

但是，我想講，今年應該無收中四學生。真奇怪!???

SPCC 公佈 F2-F5 收生，結局只有 F2 and F3 學生，這個可在網頁見到的。

My answer:  不多！ 不谷！ 不覺得特別著重理科！文丶理 正常發展。

數學和科學均沒有特別教快和深。正常速度。

兼且，中丶英丶數 也按程度分set, 不用擔心吧。
