No, the 40 is the median score only (not the average). AUS IS didn't tell its average point.

They only said

"In the IB Diploma program, 52.4% of AISHK students received scores of 40 or more points (of a possible 45) while the figure for 35 points or above was an impressive 81%. Two of these students, Evelyn Chan and Vernice Chan, received a perfect score of 45 points, truly remarkable achievements."

Sorry, I should say, 11 students got 40+, in which 2 students got full mark 45!

Yes, 2 students got 45, and 9 got 40+.  In fact they only had 21 students to go for IBDP.

Competency is one of the determining factors!

我無話有問題, 只是講出事實IBO有留意香港學生考 Chi B情況, 選擇language A or B 應該根據是否学生 first language or mother tongue 而決定, 而不是根據水平去定, IBO 關注有学生初中 take Chinese as a first language but take Chinese B at DP。 我也想同樣情況是否 apply to Eng B issue, 如学生自少全英語上課, 是否仍可 take Eng as a second language? 至於 Chi A + Eng B 取 bilingual diploma 是根據 IBO 定義, 我認為無問題亦不是cheating, 只是跟大部分人期望有落差, 猶其是當校方高調公布全人類取 bilingual diploma 而被其他家長發觉是经此途徑, 感覺不良好。或者其他地區好少好似香港小朋友自少已学兩種語文, IBO此特別途徑取bilingual diploma 是鼓勵那些用自己 second language 去考語文以外學科的学生。

對，學校唔一定有 Chinese A.
