My cousin is 7yrs old, permanent resident of HK. However, she is currently studying in a local school in China, Shen Zhen.
My aunt wishes her to move to HK now. How difficult is it to get a place in all international schools in HK? What qualifications or skills does she need in order to get the chance for assessment and interview?

It really depends on her english level and ability to perform in the interviews...

i would suggest for you to seek help from consultants who help children to get into international schools.

From my experience of helping kids entre international schools and current YCIS students, you can do a short quiz below :

1. Does she have a foreign nationality that is European, Australian, New Zealand or North American

2. Does she have a sibling already in international school? or a relative?

3. How is her English level? Is she good ?

4. Does she have a talent? (Musical / sports)

5. Is she exceptionally good at math like 99 percentile?

6. Is the international school not very famous ?

Give yourself one point for every question answered yes.

4-6 points, you should get in
2-3 can be risky but probably should be okay
1-2 you're going to have to spend some money to train her interview
