現在找工作時, 公司會查你所讀大學的排名嗎?

本人女兒將於今年在英國讀大學, 請問香港找工作時, 會否查一下你所讀大學的排名嗎? 大學排名很重要嗎? 另外, 讀Business Management and Marketing, 聽說現在很難找工作, 是真的嗎? 盼知道的朋友, 分享一下, 謝謝.

我以前就喺外國讀書都係through campus recruitment 入咗HK big four. 以我所知全部同學至少有一間hk or當地big four offer.  Interview 形式亦simple只係一take 過.所以如果學校we'll known 對人生第一份工係有少少幫助. 依家我已在investment bank 做亦有請人.但我反而冇咁focus on academic but more on interview時應對.最近更請咗個non bank background. So really depends on what the hiring manager looks for. Hope it helps!

Big 4 一係有家庭背景，一係有實力成績，即看出來自那U才有得interview。 ...

咪睇得big 4咁黑暗, fresh grad入唔到, 搵間audit firm做住先, 再用exp hired入去就唔係難事, 當然, 如果根本唔係醒目, 唔好話big 4, 去邊做都無運行啦

Big4 一般請人都系through campus recruitment請fresh graduate, will focus 揀d ranking 高既U, 做大型recruitment talk, interview 等，比较少請其他排名5高既U, 除非係experienced hire!

至於家庭背景，係5会consider, 但会有個别case, eg, referred by big client or partner, 但都要go through normal 既recruitment process, qualify requirements 先請架！

我估hr無咁無聊去check, 亦無咁多時間去check, 好坦白講, 你女讀果科咁空泛, 最好讀d專d先有d作為 真心覺得第一份工要認真揀, 唔好做幾個月或者年幾就轉, 咁就算佢係LSE grad都無用

我都負責请人，係會留意排名。 大公司請人可能把注意力集中在top 30内的大學。  但其實對於我们这等小规模公司而言，招聘大學畢業生又或工作經驗只得一兩年的员工時，目標會是top 30以後的那些大學，但這類大學在英美加澳有好多好多。有時收到履歷，澳州某大學畢業，但間大學名字聽都無聽過，唯有借助排名榜了，起码可以大概了解申請人學業方面的能力是去到那個層次。

No la. Depends on which company la.
Smaller companies would not want to hire someone from reputable universities.
Many people start off at smaller companies and move to MNC.
There is always a road for everyone.

i opined even the uni u studied ranks number 1, it also relies on how is your own academic achievement. Indeed even famous uni also has someone ranked first in the class, and vice versa.

不會查，不過大公司老細無可能不知道吧。同一個GPA，不同學校的學生是很不同的。

身為大學老師, 我非常讚同必須選擇本身讀書成績非常好的. 不然如何教授學生呢? 但是其他工作種類, 我倒覺得就不太必要了, 倒是要重視工作能力以及是否有上進心及肯努力工作的.

we shall pay attention if they are graduated from top 5, otherwise, it doesn't make great difference, we shall look for a balanced portfolio,  applicant experience  and potential, rather than which school they graduated.

大家可以入去港大中大睇下d professors係咩學歷，唔係個個都係至top大學畢業的。
