IB school language barrier

We are local family and we decided to choose IB school for our daugther as we want to have a comorehensive development of her through a happy studying environment. However, i would like to know if any parent here also from local famiky that her daugther encounter languagethe with barrier and feel discouraging.

We are quite worrying this question, hope you can share your exp ! Especially the situation in ESF, as we aim at studying in ESF.

You can do whatever you want with your kids but people here are not stupid

Any half-wit knows the EDB website list all the registered schools in HK including kindergartens here (http://applications.edb.gov.hk/s ... earch.aspx?langno=2)


So are you saying that a kindergarten not registered with the EDB is now legal because you want down to "evaluate" its legality?

之前有討論講過辧pre-nursery 好似不用教育局註冊，可用私人公司登記，唔知有無記錯。剛上Hamilton Hill綱站看過，除了介紹founder和一小段activity, 其他部分click入去出了太空文和符號，有D奇怪。

I assume you know the school quite well. Since this school claims to have no SE Asian NET teachers, does this mean this school is non-inclusive or discriminate against SE Asians in its hiring practices?

Can't wait to see what kind of kids come out of an environment where discrimination is widely advertised.

Care to elaborate on what is your relationship with the school as well?

What is wrong with SE Asian NET teachers? I have come across many well qualified ones. Are you a racist?

The kid can be fluent in both Cantonese and English (and possibly Mandarin) if he / she starts in a good language environment early.  The speaking skill may not be as good comparing to the ones who speak only one language when they are 3 or 4 years old.  But once they reach 6 or 7, they will be fluent in all languages.
