其實ST FRANCIS & ST PAUL 邊間好D, 呢個問題, 都好多人問, 無話邊間好或差, 各有各FANS, 我覺得ST FRANCIS 係一間好有心的學校, 特別認識校長, 堅持學校唔轉直資或私校, 因為當時嘉諾撒修女到灣仔設立學校(講緊150年前), 是因為看見灣仔區好多女仔無書讀, 想有需要, 貧窮的女仔得到良好教育, 雖然學校如轉直資, 可以自行收取較大抽獎較好質素的學生, 但她們仍然覺得這是學校當初成立的目的, 她們堅持立場, , 這樣是我覺得欣賞的地方!

我女9月小一，我升K3暑假已開始準備。雖然當時未知會唔會入到。老師及好多朋友都話St. Paul Cat.仲谷啲，再加上要去柴灣臨時校舍，都係放棄了。

My girl's school: more text interpretation questions (at least 10 long ones) requiring explanation, and vertical calculation listed according to HKAT requirements. A total of around 34-36 questions in each paper. At P5, virtually no time for rechecking. Actually starting P4, no time for rechecking. Even for those who tops. Different schools do it differently. Her school simply doesn't have simple calculation questions. At least 70% are text interpretation.

Yes, 應該係由P1開始maths test已經要 45分45題, 但只得臨尾5條至係要列直式, 其他40條也是簡單直接或一些簡單的文字題, 或圖片題. 其實係應付到同有時間CHECK 卷, 老師平時也有很多練習和溫習紙, 不計分入成績表的, 我囡也應付到.

St. F 超多功課

P.2 maths test 45分45題 ? That's demanding!!!! Actually, I really don't buy this approach. P1-2 are still the stage to develop numeric sense and understanding, not testing skills. My girl and boy are going to another girl school and boy school in district 12. Not as demanding as this.

Anyway, SF is truly not easy. Their workload during holidays are even more than St. paul's . Not good for those families whose children are apparently not fit with traditional school approach, and those parents who don't prepare to "fight" hard.

Lower primary may still look fine, but if it's at higher primary, it's extremely tough...

嘉諾撒小一功課一時時啦，有時五六樣，多起黎，都好多，今個星期已試過有唔知八定九樣，冇計改正在內。

不是速算
而是學校要求小朋友看題就自動波知道用那程式
基本上10秒內要確定
剩餘的50秒是計出答案在卷上
否則做不切
但如果達標
又真係幾叻女的

嘉諾撒平日都成十樣八樣功課喎，我囡一年班通常5~6樣，大部分導修課完成，上學期未適應就幾吃力，但下學期已經ok, 每日9點半左右可以訓覺
