Thank you, Guardian. I have been wondering: My daughter is studying one year GCSE in an independent school and
the class size is within 10 students. Is it really better than a state school? I want to apply a state boarding school for her.

If she passed the entrance test then it shows your daughter 's capability so in the event she is weak in any subject the house tutor would give her extra help rather than ask her to leave.You can call the school admission and ask them questions of your concern.

I am finding a state boarding school, sixth form, for my daughter.
If she enters e.g. St. Roger Manwood's and has difficulties to catch up,
will they advise her to leave, just like Cardiff? How many boarders are
there in a room?

Cardiff is good at Science subjects only. Humanities results are mediocre.

This is the campus, not boarding house.Not U shape property, Only L shape. The left hand side square property is not part of their property.

以上大家講得很好，要睇你和孩子去英國的目標是什麽，Cardiff (我想你考慮的是在Cardiff 的本校，不要Oxford 的新分校，因Oxford 的新校是給成績稍遜的學生) 是讀書，讀書，再讀書，因為咁單一和催谷，所以成績好。校舍很微型，就是相中U型的建築物，半隻眼睇哂，可能比香港學校的其中的一棟校舍還要細，住宿是約5分鐘步程以外的宿舍。Cardiff 學校在市中心，附近購物交通都方便。

但是就沒什麽讀書以外的全人發展。所以家長要衡量這個模式是否適合自己的孩子，而孩子自己本身又是否喜歡。

這決定真困難啊！
