請問有沒有人正為子女辦 renew 手續？我四月底入表，至今仍在等。Email 也沒進展。暑假機票已訂，真擔心趕不到開學！

first adult passport = 16歲前都無申請過 passport ...係出世後第一次申請 passport ，一申請就已經係成人passport，所以要 certified... 呢個問題，我問 passport 部時，佢地咁答我。係英國本土，其實都common ...香港就當然無可能。

我細女申請第3本 passport (14歲) 時，我都無 certified 相...因為香港真係幾難搵到有英國護照而職業合領使館要求的相熟朋友。
不過，如果方便找人certified 當然無問題。

我寄 speedpost，唔慢得過 DHL 好多，都係兩三日到。而且，我去郵局方便過去 DHL counter。 咁重要ge 文件，就算 send air mail，都要用registered mail.

Suggest parents sent their application form by DHL rather than by airmail.  I sent on Friday night and they received on Monday morning (UK time).  They processed efficiently.  I applied in mid April.

One thing you need to note is that the form did not state clearly whether the photo need to be certified.  It says if you are applying for your first adult passport, the photo needs certification.  It also says it depends on whether they can recognise the applicant from the old passport if you are renewing your passport?!  So, certifies one photo would be a better approach in order to avoid delay!

The processing time really varies.
Last year, I renewed my elder daughter's passport after Easter, the passport only come back in end Jun, it took 13 weeks to renew her passport.

Then I renewed mine in last Sept, it took 6 weeks.

Then I renewed my younger daughter and husband's passports this January, this time, less than 4 weeks.

To play safe, better allow much much longer time for renewing the passport as they never give you a DATE on when it will come back.

I applied (renewal) British adult passport for my daughter and sent them a copy of the letter for attending ICGSE exam in HK.  They accepted it as address proof and I have received the new passport within 10 days by courier.  Even faster than I renewed my passport two years ago at British Consulate HK.

2.我無寄本特區護照去喎...只係寄本英國passport
3, 呢個真係麻煩。我最後將家裡的 水費單轉左我女名(記住張單要要求發英文單)，因為佢已經過左 18歲。 如果未夠 18歲，用唔到呢個方法，可以用學校寄去家的信，信上要有你家的 full address and 個女 passport 的名。

我個大女都係等到本兒童護照夠期先 renew...無話一夠 16歲就申請成人護照，因為住址證明呢樣比較麻煩。我問過英國passport office ...好多證明我女都唔會有， email 證明又唔得，一定要 physical 的信。

2.要申報其它国籍，有特区護照要彩色影印寄去，過期的用否夾埋遞交？
3.孩子的住址証明一项，要缴交什麽才接受？

4.是否進入renew passport icon, or overseas British passport or apply first adult icon,那個才對？

Thanks webeheld, my status finally changed to "Dispatched" on 16-8-2014.  Hope to receive it in a few days.

上星期政府加派 100 人，到 Li …

Sent declaration form on 17/6, they confirmed acceptance on 23-24/6. Seems that they became more efficient. Hopefully I can get my passport back before 25th Aug.

For the HKSAR passport holders, they can access UK as visitors so no need to apply a visa.

Liverpool numbers: 845 601 2058, 845 128 9988, 845 601 5107.

Your advice from British Consulate HK is a bit different from what I got. Anyway, good luck.

I rang both British Consulate HK and UK Passport Office, they both gave me similar answers :

s
Cannot apply extension of passport if on-line application is registered

s
Cannot apply emergency passport if on-line application is registered and passport must be of less than 3 months validity

s
Cannot book appointment to process Fast Track in person in UK if on-line application is registered.

s
Even if I do not mail back the current passport together with the declaration form to them, they will invalidate the current passport once UK received my declaration form, that mean I could not use it anymore.

The on-line application valid for 90 days, all necessary documents must reach the UK within that period

Suggestion by them:

s
Cancel the on-line application without any refund.

s
Reapply Fast Track application (in person in the UK Office)

Does anyone know whether my daughter could use PRC passport to enter/leave the UK without student visa.
She will travel back in October, that means there will be 4 months for processing the renewal if I send out the declaration form on 30-6-2014.
