我本來想買 Your bxby can read (由 Dr. Titxer 建立) 的書給我的外甥, 網上搜索後，發現原來這間公司在美國已經破產了. 在香港有幾個地方可以買到這個產品或課程, 我想提醒其他家長, 購買之前請仔細考慮這是否會幫助你的孩子.

My baby could read when she was two, she could read the words she had learned no matter it was printed on the cards, books, sampoo bottles, milk cans or even the body cream samples in the clinic. For words she was familiar with, she could read them in different forms like 'baby', 'BABY' or 'Baby'. I taught her with Dorman method which I modified to fit my baby, using ybcr cards. She knew the meaning of the words because she could find the objects or do the actions when I asked her. Now, she is three. She can read books and is capable of translating the meaning of the sentances in the book to Chinese in her own words. However, I agree the involvement of parents is crucial. Simply putting your baby in front of the TV would never work out

多謝你的分享，我很贊成你說以閱讀學生字才是最好方法。我小朋友差不多兩歲，我至今從未給她看過任何dvd, 也未刻意教認字，英文都未開始教。她對閱讀興趣非常濃厚，我寧願讓她保持這顆愛書的心，到適當時候才開始認字也未遲。反正她廣東話表達能力和想像力都很不錯，在這個年紀能做到這些也足夠。我是非常不贊同太早死記硬背生字和fact的

I think some people here are missing the main point.

When a sales person sell you ybcr, they tell you your baby can read at 3 months(marketing strategy), you feel like your baby SHOULD be able to read at 3 months, otherwise you will be behind. This is especially true in HK with insane competition for children at a young age. Plus, parents like to compare.

Some of you said your baby learned vocabularies from ybcr, they are not reading. They memorized those words. If you think they can read. Simply put them in a sentence with random words your baby 'learned', see if they can read it. They probably can't. This is because they memorized the card - the length of the word, the color of the card, and most likely only the first letter of the word because this programs requires you to drill them many many times. If you give them two words, for example 'bear' and 'bare' they will read both as 'bear' . Studies have shown that babies can't tell the difference when they are that small.

Of course if your child is 3 or 4 years old they are capable of actually reading and understand the meaning of the words. But there are many other programs / videos in the market more interesting and meaningful.

IF ybcr really works, it wouldn't have to declare bankrupt and refund the money to the victims. The committee didn't have to do that unless they have to.

其實都冇話要識哂好多生字，好似學phonics甘，輕鬆學輕鬆記輕鬆讀，我覺得冇壞。。。小朋友吸收能力好強，我係我女食飯時有俾ybcr佢睇，我根本冇諗過要佢記乜學乜，都冇問過佢任何生字，但到依加佢識大部份！如果話生字冇用，到小朋友上小學就知道

現在有些幼稚園是由閱讀開始，環繞一個主題來教，不是由認字開始的，是由句子開始，只是某些字會在不同句子重複出現。默書也不是間間幼稚園有。

有睇過 "愛恩斯坦不玩識字卡"，七田真或者 Glenn Doman (杜曼) 的書，就會知道認知能力的訓練，不是單看閃卡就做到，還有很多東西要配合，小朋友要明白字義，記憶才會長久。

我自己用過，我覚得不錯。小朋友已經2歲半，識好多英文生字，仲明白個字既意思。我買過好多DVD, 小朋友只愛YBCR, 而我自己就覚得幾悶! HAHA!

買左，有俾阿女睇。
其實成套dvd，字卡做得好一般，好悶啲，唔係咁易吸引bb，只覺得千鬆啲蚊，又多dvd，又有字卡，都可接受 。
如果唔想俾5萬幾買迪迪尼，英語城，牛津，呢個都其實可選擇。

For children near 3 years or older I would understand, but they advertised that any babies can read as soon as 3 months old. Studies have already shown that it does not work.
