I think everyone can evaluate with his or her own metrics. For me, before HKDSE, HKCEE is more important than university admission rate because not all S5 students will be promoted to S6 within the same school. At the same time, a school can recruit better external students for S6 to boost the university admission rates. For example, I have a relative who got 8As in HKCEE at a not well-known school and she got an offer from DGS for S6 some years ago.

2010年聖心會考6科14分百份比為85%，聖保祿、德望、真光分別為86%、85%、68%，聖嘉勒2010年數字我冇，2009年為59%。

SH第一年DSE成績的確唔理想，但係只用一年成績作比較，有欠全面

如要歷史名氣加上成積，都無乜邊間龍校兩樣都有，sh成積大不如前，而且出名也遠不及港島其他没有幼稚園的一線名中學，sh比我感覺有㸃名過於實。反而gh談不上什麼歷史，以往就算在九龍區都唔係一線，但dse成績出眾。sc 都是一樣，成積雖無gh好，但dse成績就sc>tl>sh。傳統名氣和成績，你們又會怎樣選？

forgot to mention my preference in english  primary rather chinese and its balance of subject.  for moral education, i believe sc sounds better than tl too.

i prefer sc becoz the overall dse result is better than tl. it's even better than sh

My friend's kid want to get into the law school, a 3 rating in Chinese won't get her there. So I guess it would limit the choice.

I picked TL over SC as 100% guarantee to primary school and can join lucky draw. That means I only need to apply 2-3 very good DSS and if no luck, I can try the lucky draw. TL provides great flexibility.

In terms of the teaching language, I am not too concerned, somehow, I think it is easier to learn English through other channels eg private tuition or hang around with some western friends...

Some of my friends' kids who are studying at DGS, their Chinese level is not good at all and have to switch to IB to avoid taking DSE...I think both languages are equally important for our kids' generation
