人生交叉點 Anfield vs Kingston vs YC 如何決擇？

YC 第一個offer, 全日2歲班交了留位費，一條龍，但擔心普通話及英語環境不夠。

Anfield First Steps 收到 Offer Kowloon Tong, 上過 Toddlerobics 及報了 Playgroup.暫時沒有不滿意地方！但$14000留位費要考慮清楚，我還要X2.最擔心Anfield 升小學問題、只有50個位。

Kingston 12月初才見面試，Open House 感覺50%普通話50%英語，見小學部學生英語能力很好，地點環境幾好。要每三年交$8萬，學費其實三間差不多，幾千元差別。但見EK講2歲班只餘20個位，又不知面試表現如何，心情不好大哭要走就煩！能否一條龍升kingston 小學亦是重要因素，官網寫明1歲班優先升小。

如果你是我如何決擇呢？？？

YC & Kingston primary location both at KLTBut Anfield Primart at NT not KLT
Kingston need to paid more.   YC school fee per mth only.
YC 100% to primary

My son is studying at Kingston, 2 years old class. THere are 2 teachers in each class, one speaks mandarin and another speaks English, both of them are native.

The class started at Aug, and so till now, it's about 3.5 months. Recently, my son is able to sing the Mandarin songs at home. He is able to count his fingers in Mandarin as well.

As we have a helper at home who speaks with him in English, so his english speaking ability is better than the mandarin. However, for a 2.5 years old kid, I'm very glad to see that he can count the fingers in both mandarin and English.

In fact, YC has offered me the full day class and I have paid the first month school fee already. I have picked up Kingston at the last minute is mainly because of their language environment.

EK is filled with rumors that lots of people failed despite having debentures or NR. I know there are eager parents who want their school to admit based on merit, not on money. But the above is simply not quite true. There are of course cases of rejection but that is rare. For 2013 admission, DC and RC granted offers to 100% of NR applicants, though some declined and forfeited deposits.

The NR at ESF in some way works like debenture in some other IS: student get an interview earlier. It is no way a guarantee of a place. There are so many people willing to pay NR that, ESF has no problem with finding the right people to fill the places. There are lots of NR children that fail at the interview stage. No matter how some people want to believe or spread the myth of "direct acceptance" with NR, it is definitely not the case.

For kingston, interview means offer. No need to worry. In fact you can ask to see if you can have it earlier.
If you cannot provide a good English speaking environment outside school, think twice before choosing YCIS. As canto is allowed in campus, your kid will very likely hang out with people also speaking their most comfortable language, ie Cantonese. Anfield may be best in this respect.

If you can afford schools like YCIS and kingston, I suppose money is not too much a concern. You can always circumvent the one dragon issue by buying NR from ESF , RC, DC or the new IS in Lam tin.

明白，我未必會小學後即刻send 我個囡去外國讀書，所以有無一條龍中學都係我concern

But it's already better than other schools I think.  I also asked the teacher and they said they have 22 students in one class this year and the school will try not to exceed 22 students even though the maximum is 25
