西貢/沙田區既HAPPY kindergarten ?

My son is K1 now and going to the kindergarten near home but that he seems not enjoy it.  I am planning to change to a happy & quality kindergarten next year.  I am living in saikung and accept to TKO or Ma On Shan area, any recommedation?  I don't mind how much english word/chinese word he can learn during kindergarten.  I just hope he enjoy school before 6yr old.

Happy school in Shatin (而又有朋友之仔女讀緊):

有學卷:
1) 沙田平安福音堂 (沙田偉華中心)
2) 帝堡城啟思

無學卷:
1) 康傑 (馬鞍山富寶)

相信有不少happy school, 不過就未有朋友仔讀緊, 所以唔肯定...

搵插班，現在好學校基本無可能。但我都推薦香港靈糧堂（依你的情况讀MOS校區）和ESF（WKS）。可惜靈糧已經截止報名，ESF将于明天截止

TKO Boxhill is good. But as I known, Nov 1st is their interview day. You can call to see if there is any vacation left.

我揀太X島係因為超近同佢夠光猛.

今年換左校長, 成間學校只有一個舊老師, 其他全部新來. 包括校工.  老師OK既,  But not very good, if you expect your kid can learn english/PTH very good, I think u think choose other school.

We are not NET and Chinese is very important, so I don't consider ESF or woodland or sunshine.

Yes, instead of forcing the kid to learn manner, they encourage kids to do.  my son joined the playgroup at boxhill , greenfield n Greenville before.  I like boxhill the most as the teachers (also full time teacher) work with passion n has a bigger tolerance .  If you are interested in international stream, you may consider garden house or sunshine house.  Some of my fd have good comments on them.

My son attended Wellborn last year for PN, and i think it's a happy school, has international class and local class.

My son enjoyed it very much as he always sing the song learnt from there even he is not studying K1 there now.

I think there may have vacancy for PM class, you can call and try.  It's in MOS, Tai Shui Hang.

For LL KG, there are 3 teachers for 30 children.
Yes, LL KG welcome parents to participate the school activities. Also, parents may join the daily class if you like.

Advantage (In my mind):
- LL is well education organization, they do 兒童為本
- Strong in music - my son has been there around 1.5 month, he likes singing and dancing with rhythm, and he try to
                            use different thing treat as music instruments
- With care and love -Not only all staffs love children, but also children learned how to care other classmates, he did prayed
                                for other sick classmates at home.
- Encourage for reading - KG provide 1 english story book per 2 weeks for K1 children
- Encourage children speak with others - 請讀給我聽, 學校每兩週會派讀咭比小朋友, 鼓勵他們向15個人教他們讀出咭內句子
- Principle likes "Creative" that make both teachers and children keep thinking in different way. Appreciated for this approach
  like western education, it can 引發學習動機
- Parents could find many info from intranet, for example: all notices, photos, videos...
   - it could be be more eco-friendly, and parents no need to keep too much hard copy, also we could use the mobile
     to check all info anytime.
   - Photos - free for download, and the staff would put all children name on some photos, that make parents to know
                  other children as well. Very apprecicated for it.
   - Videos - free for download too...

But if parents are looking for strong in academic, LL maybe not your cup of tea.

Actually,I am looking for the KG with  teachers RESPECT kids.  Don't force the kids to do ANYTHING.  I DON'T LIKE the teachers always force my son saying "good morning...good afternoon...goodbye...".  Manners is important but FORCE is not a correct way to educate kids!

My son took  playgroup course  in Greenville before and teachers expect he can sitting down and listen...I think it is ridiculars for a 2yr old kid don't touch the toys...!  And I saw the assistants and teachers is quite 麻木.  But of course the teacher quality is better than 一般學卷KG.
