你的意思是說維幼學生在紀律方面表現較差,不愛聽老師指令?這樣他們在小一面試時豈不比較吃虧?德育方面的 ... 紀律方面表現較差... this I don't know because discipline is basically habits like going to bed early, waking up early and not be late for school, handing in homework on time....etc are taught both at home and in school.
Victoria does require kids to observe rules in the classroom and those rules may not be as strict as other traditional kindergartens. One example will be, kids are encouraged to participate in discussions after the teacher reads a story to tell. And putting up your hand and waiting to be called to express your idea is not often required. Also, some Catholic schools do reprimand 3 years old for not being able to sit absolutely still during class.
Kids in Victoria learn in a "free" way mainly because (in my opinion), they are not seated at individual desks facing the blackboard and being lectured to. The class of around 30 kids are split into 3 groups so that each teacher would guide his/her subgroup of 10 kids when teaching about a subject. The kids will gather around a larger table or sit in a circle close to the teacher to observe, listen, ask questions and may be participate in demonstrations. The teaching and learning process is two-way (bilateral) through active discussions.
不愛聽老師指令....who likes to be bossed around? no kid will be 100% obedient. But i can assure you that Vic teacher do impose rules in class. however, given the fact that Victoria kids are encouraged to be curious, i do believe, they will make more attempts to be adventurous. Hence, may put them at a disadvantaged position when interviewing for local primaries.
Nevertheless, I do like the way Victoria teaches young kids as I believe kids learn best when they are unpressured and happy. Perhaps they are perceived as bad students by local primary schools, but learning is a long journey, I want my kid to learn well and happily and I don't want to focus on marks.
