i think they are still going to lei yu moon?? mine is small b.. so didn't go to class yet... but indeed she turn down other school to come to this one... makes me worry now..

早前大批家長通宵排隊為去年出生龍B撲PN班（預備班）學位，足見市場需求龐大，營辦多間幼稚園的「慈善女王」趙曾學韞也在天后的樂䔄幼兒學校搶開PN班，但校舍卻未完成註冊，學童和家長要轉到鯉魚門度假村上堂，惹起家長不滿。而九龍塘耀中幼稚園PN班學費全港最貴，每月1.3萬元；有幼稚園團體估計，六成幼兒有讀PN班。 多名家長在網上家長討論區公開事件，原來9月首兩周校方安排學童和家長到鯉魚門度假村上堂，但名義上是戶外活動，又稱免收學費，因此可避過監管。據家長稱，校方會先保管他們的學費支票，直至學校成功註冊才過數，家長留言指「這是不公平，因為這不是正常課堂，課堂時間又減少」。有家長表示，由於教育局仍未批准註冊，校方通知他們在明起兩星期要再到鯉魚門上堂，家長表明會向教育局投訴。

請問PN學生人數total幾多啊？同埋一級有幾多班啊？學校有幾多個班房啊？

May I know your baby is in K1 or PN? If he is in K1, how's the class so far? How many students in each K1 class? How many teachers?

The two weeks of activities at Lei Yu Moon are free, because they will extend school for another week or two so summer holidays will start later.  But we still pay 10 months of tuition.  Mrs. Wong made it very clear at the parents day, maybe you can clarify with her or the staff again.

Where did u get the information that they wont charge us for these special activities weeks? I hv asked the admin staff last week, n she said they wont bank in our cheque b4 the licence are done. Once they get the formal licence, they will charge full month school fee. I think that is not fair, coz it's not formal lessons n the school hrs is lessen. But she said they hv taught all the syllabus as usual .

No it's not a campus there.  Don't worry.  They are offering free activities for the kids these past two weeks accompanied by parents  to bond and to familiarize them with the teachers, and as a gesture as well while waiting the formal PN license to arrive.  They pick Lei Yu Moon because the space is child friendly, have outdoors and indoors facilities and equipment, and schools often do their field trips, outings there.   As a parent, I will actually call EDB to complain to them soon for not expediting the process as they have already checked everything, now waiting for paperwork. If you do not have kids there, you can just wait until November to decide if you want to apply as their app forms for 2014 are not even out yet.  At that point, you can make a better decision since the school has already operated for a while, and the license issue would have gone away.  So no need to worry now if you are not applying this year.

Yes indeed~~ I am gathering info whether to apply the school. I had attended the briefing in cricket club many months ago and indeed very concerned with the operation of the new school. Especially how they are handling students and parents when not being able to secure the license prior the school opened two weeks ago.

Anyway, is that mean PODS has a backup campus in Lei Yue Mun? Is it spacious? Design is the same as Tin Hau? I am a bit confused as some parents told me that it is a park??? (Correct me if I am wrong... if it's a park, why not in Victoria Park?) So are they having regular classes these two weeks or simply providing free activities as a good gesture of not being able to obtain the license within the period? Lots of questions... thx thx~~

I don't think it's fair to judge a school's value based on the government licensing process which is totally out of their control.  I know a few schools (even Ascott) only got their official PN license last week.  Pods' K1 license has already been issued a few weeks ago, the PN license should follow, but the principal said it's also out of her control that the PN dept is taking so long.  So far the school has not been charging us anything for the extra activities provided at Lei Yu Moon, so they are being very fair about it.  They could have just started school later, but they would rather offer these extra "free" activities outside of school to help students adapt to their teachers, and teachers put so much effort in teaching the kids.  It's exhausting for the teachers as well but they were so dedicated. I actually think this reflect how fair their school is, and as a parent, I like this value to be taught to my kids.

I think the principal is quite experienced that's why she is quite aggressive in putting everything in place despite the license not ready yet. However, as a parent, I think being aggressive may cause false hope, n I feel like they make too many promises in the v beginning n that's y we feel disappointed. But to be fair, it's smthg they can't control n they r trying their best to minimize all the uncertainties. I finally withdraw from the class cuz I prefer a more 踏實school cuz their values make a big impact to our kids.

請問K班是在天后上課嗎？只有PN要在鯉魚門上課？另K班需要家長陪上課嗎？

wow... where exactly is the lei yue mun campus? are they still charging you the same fee with a different location? how can they teach without a proper license? is that mean the PN class is not legally recognized?

As per the teachers' announcement today, EDB has not granted written approval to the school yet.
So until final doc is received, the parents have to accompany their babies in campus...

It is such a inconvinient situation for most of the parents and the babies, I wonder how long it will take the school to get fully licensed........
