Well, my background is a technical degree first and then MBA and DBA. I feel comfortable and no problem at all.
US or UK systems, both nurtured great students and or professional.

it depends on the maturity and the career inspiration of the students. If students no idea of future career, US system can be better fit. If a boy loves Medic or Law and capable to handle that, he can go for UK system and saves the time.

I also suggest my son go for more professional first degree and then graduate school in US. No need to stick to single system.

絕對同意前面幾位前輩說：讀 business 前，如果可以先讀一個較 techical 的 program 會更好。其實很多 banker，undergrad 都不是讀 business 出身的。
但我相信香港和美國的生態不同，香港人對讀大學的概念和美國不同。
香港人要快，因此他們不要說 freshman year，連高中都較喜歡分開文科理科，現在新高中要文理兼顧，對很多人來說，是 "多餘"。在美國，就算是 undergrad 都唔會點分，很多專業資格都是 post grad entry。以讀醫為例，甚至 undergrad 是 major history，都有機會收你，最緊要是兼讀幾科 undergrad 的 chemistry biology 之類做 elective。
美國的大學，希望學生先在頭兩三年 explore 自己的興趣，想清楚才選擇專業。
香港？
最好是 form one 就有 pre-med 或 pre- law 讀。
香港人一向著眼點都不同，他們唔會 buy 你地話話先讀其他科，再讀 mba/master。

Please furnish me with details of BBA degrees at Ivy League, MIT, Stanford and Oxbridge. I would certainly be most thrilled to see them finally relenting to popular demand to install such a degree at an undergraduate level.

As a minor subject you could find it bundled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell or as a discipline of economics at Wharton but neither would grant you an explicit BBA.

BBA as a rule is a cash cow for universities that don't make it to top tier for it is woefully easy to set up and run.

BBA来讲，可能Wharton的确是最好，但是还有MIT,Berkeley... 但MBA来讲，最top的school...太多了。

对于一些成绩不错，脑筋转得快，不想太辛苦，又没有对什么特定专业有兴趣的人，但又想毕业后容易找到好的工作，BBA是最好的选择。

如果想读会计，而会计是算在某些大学BBA里面的其中一个concentration的话，first degree就一定要读BBA. 如果等到master's degree 时才读会计，是比较迟。

不然的话，的确是比较适合先读一些更technical的科目，工作几年后，才读MBA.

自修好过读个degree? 读business的一大最棒的经验，就是跟队员一起脑震荡，吹出似模似样的结果，当中所得到的training,建立的network,是自修不能比的。

The younger generation is more difficult to stick to single field, the pace and the career life cycle are not the same.
In western countries, average changed fields 2.6 times in their career life, should be the same in HK. By doing so, CPD is needed and also graduate school. Determination, adaptability, continuous improvement mindset ....... on top of other skills.

"如果唸住讀完一個first degree就夠食過世，就太幼稚了。" 十分之同意, 如果攞住個first degree就夠食過世個社會都幾難有進步

, you need to do extra well to have better majors like GBuS and QFin.

For HKU and CUHK, most hot business programs are not school based admission, no need to do one more year NSS.....

小女讀了三年科大，沒有太大問題，不過時間表上盡量不要選早上9點上堂，這個時間真是排長龍等小巴，但為了交通問題而另選其他大學，就要看你覺得那樣較重要。
