　　非聯招本地學額競爭加劇，香港大學今年接獲逾七千份申請，較去年增逾一成七。其中國際預科文憑（IB）接獲近一千七百份本地及國際申請，平均七人爭一位。另外，港大今年成功招攬四男五女IB狀元。港大收生及國際生交流事務總監表示，學生獲取三十分才會獲考慮，但有建築系學生指，當年考獲四十多分才勉強獲取錄。

　　今年全球誕生一百零八名IB狀元，港大迄今成功取錄其中九名，包括三名本地生，其餘來自內地、印度及馬來西亞，分別入讀醫科、理學士、會計及金融等。港大收生及國際生交流事務總監史秉士對今年收生感滿意，又指非聯招本地生學額競爭激烈，接獲申請逾七千份，較去年增一成七，相比之下，聯招申請人數僅多三個百分點。

　　IB學校部營運總監Siva Kumari指，亞洲的IB發展快速，過去五年，香港的IB學校增加七成三，有四十三所中小學，預計未來會有更多學校開設IB課程，學額競爭難免增加。去年IB考獲四十三分的馮嘉怡，成功入讀港大建築學，她認為IB課程與大學學習模式相近，但直言「我都是勉強入到港大」。

　　另外，港大本周一連五天舉辦IB國際學生論壇，吸引一百五十名來自世界各地的IB學生參與，邀請業界人士及學者共同討論「如何有責任地參與網絡世界」。

I believe this figure included both local and non local applicants. This number is not surprising as applicants come from all over the world.

咁實則HKU for Non Jupas (despite IBor not) 即係有多少位？7000 的七分一 ie 1000?

經歷三年，我簡單歸納以NJ入好本地大學課程是困難，越來越困難及競爭大。但是非DSE課程亦有不少優點，是DSE沒有。所以要有海外升學準備，然後在過程中掌握一些終生學習的能力。

其實家長真的要看看自己家庭的背景，才為小朋友選學校。
本地家庭，給小朋友讀非本地課程，首先要考慮，如果中文能力落後於人對他的前途有沒有影響。

以往 ib 學校都是國際學校，學生大都是外國非華裔，或是回流香港的移民，這些學生本來有 "非本地" 背景，很多首選反而不會是香港的大學。本地家庭如果想孩子將來在香港讀大學和工作，就真的要想想是不是要選擇非本地課程。

不要看 dbs 和 spcc 的學生讀 ib 讀得好，就以為自己的孩子也可以行這條路。人家這兩間學校本來就是 two of the best，人家有很高入本地大學率，是因為學生本來就是水平較高，並不代表用 non-jupas 入本地大學真的很易。

以我的了解，最簡單易明的分類：

(1) jupas ：dse 學生，不理國籍族裔

(2) non-jupas：簡單地說，就是不是 (1) 的學生，即不是讀 dse 的學生，也是不理國籍族裔

本地生按收生途徑劃分的敎資會資助第一年學士學位課程的本地學生，
有聯招非聯招兩類，

另一表格為非本地生，有中國內地、亞洲其它地區，其它地區3類。

港大Website:

If you are a local candidate who is applying for admission to the University of Hong Kong on the strength of qualifications other than Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE), we very much welcome your application to HKU through the Non-JUPAS Admissions Scheme. "Local candidate" means that you DO NOT require a student visa to study in Hong Kong. So, for example, you may be studying:

讀IB果日就已經知，阿仔讀dse的話，入U應該較易。
但都係揀IB.

既然知道，欣然面對。
但都有好處，較多奨學金（舢舨而非油輪）及學分減免，而且成績中上，入神科機會會高少少，面試始終有明顯優勢。
