Advanced Class G5+ & G6+

Does anyone know about the advanced class at PKC?  For example, G5+ or G6+.  How challenge is it?  What is the student number per advanced class?  Do they study G6 materials in G5+ advanced class?

I only know what happened in my kid's classes in the past few years. Number of kids who skipped a year in Eng ranged from 0 to 3.

Kids who are good in Maths will be invited to join an Olympics maths training programme. Not compulsory, some kids turned down the offer. I haven't heard of any similar programmes in Chinese.

No skipping for Maths or Chinese. I think we have skipping for English because we have quite some NET kids. It's not fair to put them in the same class with local HK classmates of the same age group as some of them have higher Eng levels. I think that's how the "tradition" started. But of course there are local students who are picked to skip.

Thanks for your information.  In your example, the 3M+ advanced students will join the standard 4M class for English learning.  They will take the tests and exams with grade 4 students together.  I think.    Do you have any idea how many students on average can be promoted to advanced class?  For example, grade 3+.

How about Math & Chinese?  Does school also have the same policy for student with better skills in Math & Chinese being promoted to advanced class or next level?

Hope I'm right:
such kids in grade 6 will form a group called 6+ and they have English lessons together.

Kids in other grades will join another class in a higher grade. For example, 3M students who can skip a grade in English will join class 4M. They run to another classroom when it is time for English lessons.

So it is a grade's difference.
