2014年入小一，應否放棄GH去抽MCS?

If I were you, I will definitely go for MCS
(1) like you said, people from all walks of life, so it's like a little society for your girl
(2) no need to pay school fees, money can be saved for other ECA.
(3) MCS has higher ranking than GHS

A friend of mine who is a graduate from GHS also sent her girl to MCS than GHS.

Go for MCS for sure if have 25 points!!! GH can't compare with MSC in my mind. Good luck to you!

I think you have confused the two type of schools.  I was referring to private schools, not direct subsidized schools like you have mentioned.

直資唔同私校，直資收咗後要簽一封信，係話退出參加派位，所以自行都唔會派到位。

以往通常直資放榜比自行的抽獎放榜早幾日(有幾間例外，九月幾放榜)。可以有幾日時間考慮。

若我是你, of course decline GH and select MCS. 25分其實好穩陣; 萬一兩間都入唔到, 亦非世界未日, 不少私校都不比兩校遜色.

For academic, 兩間都ok, gh功課多而深少少, 而mcs則較鼓勵看書.
兩間讀書都係大壓力, 冇乜人情味, 學習能力慢熱的都不能上到其中學(~50%).

抽，點解唔抽？教署邊有可能會咁有效率去滿足一間，半間學校呢？從來也沒hold住兩個offer，何必介懷呢？支持樓主！
