因為若果書展內的英文圖書(我指的是junior chapter books)和網上的價錢差不多,那我就不必和人迫入書展入貨了.

(另外,順便搭單問多句: 知道哪裡買<The giving tree>比較平嗎? 是網上嗎? 這本書看許多次了,次次都是借回來,想買一本當收藏~~)

係呀...我仔仔都係咁, 佢睇完本horrible science handbook 話好睇...點知睇其他horrible science 書就好似無乜興趣咁

我老公成日就話買左先...唉!唔肯睇唔通買黎擺咩!?

Sometimes I dare not buy book sets for my son as I am not sure if he will like it. Eg. He likes horrible histories handbooks but he is not willing to read horrible histories. However, he likes Wicked history 20th Century.

妳問的是Roald Dahl collection 嗎？如果孩子已經是confident chapter books reader，我覺得六歲以上已適合看其中部份的書，普遍的8歲以上適合。建議帶孩子去圖書館親自看看。

明白你擔心的地方，不過孩童的眼光跟我們未必一樣。如果孩子已經七歲以上，我覺這系列書是可以的，因為我見到兒子看這系列書時常發笑，但是他卻不敢看Harry Potter，可能被之前的電影畫面嚇怕了。安全一點，可以給孩子試看幾頁，如果他無興趣或感到可怕便不要繼續。

Thanks! Will try it out when the elder one is ready. I remember I flipped through one before and the content was quite bloody and gory. A bit too much for young child so wanted to see if you might think that is a problem.

The books are written for children. Although my son enjoys reading them so much and he often read those funny parts to me, I have only sample read a few pages from each series and cannot recommend them for adult's reading. You can find them in public library if you want to try.

如果你的孩子未看過Horrible Series，建議先去圖書館或書局揭幾頁睇睇，因孩子的口味不會位位一樣。

這四套書中，小兒重看次數最頻密的是Horrible Science 同埋Horrible History，然後是Murderous Maths, 最後是Horrible Geography。
