Will HKU or CU Medical Faculty accept a student who gets 10A or 10A* in IGCSE into MBBS or MBChB?

Last year was an excetional year, my friend's child who was not even granted an interview in 2011 was admitted in 2012!!!!!!!

I see, some lucky boys/girls last year.
Though they did not admit enough year 1 students last year, the faculty will admit some graduate students this year to fill up the vacancies as advance standing will be granted!

40/45, only for last year, because of double cohort effect, not all 840 spaces are filled finally.

I have no idea but I think it should be an CO because UK would not give an unconditional offer unless you have already obtained the qualification which is equal or exceeds the requirement of an usual offer.

This is medical school, we have never heard of any unconditional offer!

What I heard from professors that they suspected the PG may be overstated for all qualifications, like DSE, and IB.

Also they granted less CO this year, as they expect keener competition of DSE and IB or other qualifications this year, they need to wait and see the actual results before making offers.

This is also what I understand the situation this year.
However, there is one exception. I was told by my friend that her daughter's close friend obtained an offer of IB 36 from HKU (her PG is 45). She is from an IS.

Anyway, no matter it is 41,42,43, these are a academically very competent!

This year conditional offers.

For HKU, I know it's 43. PG 45, attachment at QMH.

For CUHK, 41-42. PG 43-45.
