May i ask opinion from mama with kids studying at KCIS?
My chinese writting proficiency is really just so so
So i prefer my daughter to learn some chinese at least (we already speak to her in cantonese at home which she seems picking up well after attending a local PN)
however, i worry that if she studies in KCIS, there's no way i can get her to learn good chinese (at least basic reading and writing). Will KCIS be good enuf ? or i should let her study in local kindergarten ? (we plan to move back to canada before grade 7)
We taught our son Chinese at home, in Cantonese. His progess in recognising words is quite ok. I can see that he is learning Chinese reading in school too. He can read the whole book in Mandarin (without pinyin) the other day. As for writing, we are not worred for now. Afterall, he is just in K2.
Hi, what grade is your kid? my twins are in R1pm & R2pm, so far so good, better than I expected, but it seems nothing to learn, will you apply other IS? You can PM me if you want to have a drink during their classes :)
