Today we went to HKUST and listened 3 admission talks as non-JUPAS, BBA & GBus.
First two nothing special, just like last year, but more useful info related to GBus.

Total vacancies - 55, (30 are direct admission to GBus from day one, 25 are from BBA, they are selected after the first year BBA.)

Admission requirement - HKDSE, English 5, and three more subjects in 5**. Core + 2 electives are minimum, M1M2 as another electives, bonus points for additional electives, other languages and applied learning also have bonus point. Non-JPAS, IB 40/45 as typical PG and admission grades. GCE AL at least 3A*.

Interview - ALL needs interview.

For BBA, average for HKDSE is average grade 5, for IB 34 only.

Non-JUPAS application only have 2 options and not 3 as other universities.

I've been there too, "people mountain people sea" Can't get into LTB for the GBUS myself but my wife get a "stand place". I did queue for "non-JUPAS admission" but being rejected for overcrowding.
