想請問大家如果子女成績好top, 自行入top band 1 官津應該冇問題，而另一方面又被名直資取錄（DGS, DBS, St Paul Co-Ed), 大家會點揀？

好難一口講是還是不是；以科大為例，所有學院只吸納 IB城績 30以上的學生，35以上有不同層次的獎學金，好似無配額添。當你選熱門科目時，Non-JUPAS會有配額~30%，變成 IB有機會相對成績比本地學制更高才入到心儀熱門學系。如果選較普通或冷門科目，我會覺得 IB肯定高好多，成績亦會較優勝。

在銜接上有冇困難？

這方面無用置疑，IB有絕對優勢，完全冇銜接困難。因為 IB在研究，自學，論文，實驗報告，會話，口頭報告.......相關訓練比本地學制強多了，希望新學制能將差距修窄。

May be the said parents are also ＂囂張＂and 富貴, they can't show off in those school and make a move. As usual, devil advocate....

Personally, I met some of them....... kids don't care, parents do ....... inferior complex.

學校是社會的縮影，＂囂張＂的人各處都有，當然富貴的圈子（如馬會或其他高級會所等）會多些。囂張是家教和個人修養的問題，＂富貴＂可不是罪過。
一個有才能，本領的人，通常可賺取更高的收入，成為中產或＂富貴＂的人。
選擇直資或官津校，就適隨各自尊便，喜歡就報，很難說誰是誰非。我自己就很簡單，好的，適合（包括學費）的都會考慮，不會避開，以免少了選擇。

ANChan59 Fair comment. I think the problem is some parents used the bottom 25% of elite schools compare with top 25% of top local school. So bottom vs bottom or top vs top are fine. 發表於 12-6-26 14:54
