Dehumidifier Rod in Piano

Hi,

do you put dehumidifer rod in your piano? What brand is it and how often do you change it? I just ordered a piano and was told that there is  a complimentary dehumidifier rod that comes with it. The piano technician will come, tune the piano and install the the dehumidifer rod. Though the rod is made in Hong Kong, but I am concerned about putting a rod in the piano and turning it on all the time. Will it go short circuit and burn the piano?
Please advise. Thanks.

其實長開都問題不大. 依幾日就一定要開. 不過要小心條管好熱.

鋼琴應處於50-70%濕度的環境，除非去到30%, 我是長開防潮管。過85%要開抽濕機啦！

If the dehumidifier rod comes together with the piano, i think the most reliable answer you can get is from the piano company.  I had a piano before and the tuning si-fu told me that I only needed to turn it on when the weather is very humid but not "every day".
