Some said that the violin made from Scotte Cao is good. Do anyone have any comments?

Solo Strings? Hope still there...
There are few violin shops nearby... Orfeo, Sea Sound, etc.
Try all within your budget !

P and TL are not the place to buy violin unless for the beginners!
My kid tried many Scott Cao violins with her friend(for her grade8 exam) in Wanchai few years ago because her friend was to fear to play violin in front of others...
Tried almost 20 units from 5k to 30k... her friend finally bought a 12k full size.
My kid said it was the best with that price at that time!!!
So don't believe in brands and try more to find the best for you...
In fact almost all European violins below 100k are made in china but added their labels, accessories and tuning!
Same for Scott Cao, all came from their workshop only with that prices...

My daughter has tried those violins from Scott Cao at the weekend. We found that model 017 is acceptable at that price and we have tried other higher models as well. Besides, we have tried other brand from the shop and do anyone know about Roderich Paesold displayed in Parsons? The lowest model which is claimed to be made from Germany costs about $6000. Are they good?

Besides, did anyone buy violins from Parsons? Are they reliable?

有得trade in都係一個好主意！
嚴格來講，1/4, 1/2都係買最平的，3/4係N手舊琴。反而絃就用pirazzi. 跟過的老師都叫我唔好用錢在細琴上。所以我才會有以上的silly questions.

又有一個silly question, 買弓時也試試嗎？同一價錢試幾支？還是不同價錢試幾支？
另一個問題，新弓通常都未搽松香，其實試弓，是否指那些高價弓，試個支就考慮買個支？

個D名聽都未聽過，可見我層次有幾低！但聽下都好，當學下野。講真，買甚麼琴，有甚麼分別，最終還是要由拉琴的人去決定吧？原來做琴的人也不少，每位造琴師都話自己的好。外行人真的唔識分。
買咩價錢還要看學的人甚麼年紀，我朋友幾仟元買來的一支弓就給他孩子意外弄斷。
