Yes, accord to other parents, Kln TL is EMI and HKTL is CMI.  Both secondary schools are EMI now.  The students of HKTL is very polite and humble.  The teachers are nice and caring, my daughter and I like the school very much.  And it's sad to give up this school because the daddy wants both of my girls to stay in the same school.  Kln TL is a small school, maximum of 2 classes per grade.  It also gives a nice and warm feeling.

When it comes to secondary school allocation, it makes a lot of difference.  There are about 1/4 to 1/3 HKTL graduates being allocated to the best schools in town.  The majority of the rest will go the HKTL.  While as I remembered, the band 1 ratio in Kln TL is not that high.

HKTL (secondary) is band 1 middle tier, while Kln TL is band 2 top tier.  This actually makes a lot of difference.  But one good point about the Kln one is that it's 'upgrading' while the HK one is quite stable.

My young one prefers True Light (and it fits her better) so I asked my elder one to give it a try.

Thanks for the update I didn't keep track that they are benefited from the fine tuning process.

Based on the class structure, it is not a full EMI but approximately 75% EMI.  Basically they re-arranged the class time so that all students in senior forms can have full EMI for the last 3 years, while most students in the lower forms can use English as MOI for the key subjects.

It is a very good arrangement and I think the students would be benefited.

We got their waiting listed letter yesterday and glad it is all finished now with private schools.

hialice - is it an outright reject, or does the letter say something about 備取生 and they will call you after the 24th when space becomes available?  If that's what the letter says, then you still have a chance!
