kcs 很正的, 可以大抽獎, 而且畢業生派位成績很好, 大多數去band1 中學, 基本上不用擔心, 學校作風樸素低調 (我中意), 禾桿冚珍珠實幹型的一種就是. 另一方面, 係rc/ st. louis, 貴子弟都要成績好先可以上rc/ st. louis 中學架, 唔係一條龍直升. 但係如果你係信奉天主教的話, 當然去rc/ st. louis 啦. kcs 無聖經科架.

kcs 的語言環境比較特殊, pth 同英文滲透各學科之中, 孩子在不知不覺之間學習語文. 情況有點像國際學校, 但卻不失傳統. 大家都要俾學費, 我會選一間可以善用校內時間老老實實的打穩英普根基的學校, 這一點很重要. 因為上到小學, 我唔想額外花時間找net/pth 老師幫佢糾正發音. 小朋友做家課溫書都夠你忙. 同以前唔同, 現今社會, 普通話一定要精. 我見有d人住對面海都過海黎讀. 另外, 我中意男女校.

所以, 我會:-
1. kcs
2. rc
3. st. louis

If you want to participate in lucky draw for a better aided school.  Choose KCS as RC does not allow you to join  lucky draw.  To me, those 2 schools are very similar......except RC has a feeder school.  Around 65% of RC's students can enter its feeder school or better.  For KCS, around 65% of its students can enter the band 1 schools which is equivalent to RC secondary or better.  So, to be frank, in term of secondary allocation, no much difference to me.

I think RC will be stronger than KCS in term of English as it use English to teach General Study as well.  But for KCS, its english environment is also good as it will have 7-9 NET but RC has 2 NET only.  KCS is stronger than RC in term of Mandarine as all subjects except eng will be taught in Mandarine.


RC is better than KCS in term of the playground for sure........


I think you can prepare a rating table for yourself, weight the factors that you think are critical for choosing primary school.  With this table, it will be easier for you to make your decision.

我做学生時,RC Secondary d男生好曳, St Louis d斯文.而家就唔知.

其實睇你博唔博....... 15分你當第一round陪跑, 但第二round手揸WAN CHAI地址又好吸引......
兩個可能:
1. 博到st jo, Wah yan開心死, 學費唔駛交, 直屬好中學
2. 博唔到比學費讀蘇折
如果你可以承受到後果2而絕不後悔當初冇選高主教, 咁就選蘇折博大抽獎st jo, wah yan 啦!
如果唔想博, 就高主教啦!

Just to give you some information, top 65% of KCS P6 students can actually enter band 1 primary schools in HK last year.  So, no need to worry too much.

I have summarized a few points for your consideration:

教學語言        Strong in Mandarin, 中文小學 English(英文科): 教深1年Oral taught by Net, P3 onwards taught by Net.  

Peer Group: Most of the outstanding students are really bright and their Chinese and English are really good and of high standard.  Many ABC/BBC classmates (a bit international school feel)

Size per class: about 30-33

Academics:  I think 蘇浙 and RC are almost the same - traditional school with lots of tests and exam.

One good things about RC is there is an secondary school, but for 蘇浙 if you are the 10 and 20% then could get into some of the very good secondary school.

I am sure if you talk about Mandarin learning, KCS is better than RC, but the most important thing is that their secondary school is not very good. RC secondary school is much better, so u need to take a big risk if u choose KCS. I guess almost all parents will choose RC instead of KCS.

thanks for your advise.  我只係有一件事未諗得清楚, kcs 嘅 langauge 好似好啲, 普通話, 唔使講.  english ~ p1-p3, 一個 chinese 加 一個 net 教... chinese 教 gammer, net 教 oral.... 真係好煩....
