你地覺唔覺今年小一面試考很多學術野?
如果一D KIDER. 係訓練小朋友其他野果D是否很遜色....

很多考小學都有上小一面試班，各方面train up。我K2唔知要上，到K3差不多要interview時才發現要前一年要報，比較遲起步。但我用了$450報了一次面試mock，俾我知道小朋友的缺點，之前無注意到或唔覺有問題，但有時在家一個樣-非常自信，但對外就靜d。mock之後導師指出有幾樣致命缺點，其中一樣是學術。所以用了2-3個星期操佢學術，並上了6堂補下佢d描述、比較及看圖說故事的技巧。我相信唔係上過小一mock exam，我今年可能要全軍覆沒！

學校只可以增加難度,收取他們認為切合他們學校的學生.

前幾年好似比較着重性格/礼貌,今年好似好多學校更全面連學术,体能,反應力,合群性, presentation skill 通通都有考到,考倒小朋友應比較全面...可以話動静皆宜,能文能武! ...

只能嘆一句, 學生太多, 學位太少. 攪到一D根本唔係一線的直資學校, 都有千幾二千考生畀佢任揀.

睇番出生率, 未來幾年的戰況會更加慘烈.

CKY is very vigorous in picking up kids last year, more and more vigorous than before, different from few years ago, not that diffiuclt to get in..
both language, personality and academic competence count in interviews

不過我又唔覺得識學術野=填鴨或者無快樂童年, 其實都可以係愉快中學習學術 ...

雖然我已不斷為她補習,但.....(跟其他同班媽媽分享, 大家都有同感), 甘即係話如果你想子女讀到一間有名的小學, 甘應該盡早搵一間勁谷的KIDER. 否則..... 你地覺得我講得啱嗎?

I don't really think so because we have to submit birth certificate in most of the cases.

Moreover, school reports of K2 as well as handbooks are ususally required to complete the applications / interviews.

I don't think so. The schools we applied requested applicants to show current student handbook to prove their identity. It's not easy to play tricks, right?

狹義來看, 如果你覺得圖片描述, 聽指示, IQ推理等不屬於學術範疇, 這樣的話確有部份學校INTERVIEW 唔係咁"學術".

在我個人認為, 圖片描述考觀察力, 思考和組織能力, 最後還有表達能力. 要溝通表達得好, 語文(中英文)就要好.

聽指示, 根本就係考聆聽, 又係語文.

IQ推理, 根本係考小朋友基本數學概念E.G. 重複性, 排列次序, 找不同類等...

眼見咁多熱門學校, 就算強調HAPPY LEARNING 也好, 到最後要揀學生都係好現實以學術行先.

上年己聽聞上年有部份九龍塘小學考學術除了最基本的普通話、英語、常識、閱讀、看圖說故事外，還考埋加減數，但一般幼稚園是K3下學期才教，如果沒有預先未學到珠心算，要自己操定

Last year same situations. Most DSS and private schools did very "agressive" entrance interviews!!

yes, i think so.  because this year is very keen and most of dss/private school interview is over 5 years old kids what they learnt from kindergarten.  we also hv learnt some out from school but it seems also not enough.  

i don't want to blind follow such trend becuase it's really no need.  i don't want just 5 yrs old kids without their happy life and just for satisfaify school and parents.  i hope my kids study more and extend their personal creative not a copy machine.  and i think this is what our society need.  but frankly, hong kong education like the duck.

Yes, it is very acadamic this year.  Most of them don't accept portfolios.    happy learning kinders may have problems in handling the interview this yr.
