Amazing.  I called the school this afternoon and  my gal has the 2nd interview.  The letter was sent lost.

Thanks GOD, luckily I called today as she will attend the interview tomorrow 11/1 afternoon.

I always felt she was turned down.  But it is coming back again.

Thanks Unclegrand for your reminder.

My girl also received reject letter and she is also born in December. i don't know how many applicants this year and most of us will receive reject letter, so don't be so upset about the result. i am sure god will arrange a suitable school for them. i totally agreed that we should be proud of our girl performance in going through all the interviews in these few months for a little 5 years old girl.

Received rejected letter. My daughter is a super small girl, born on Decemeber. Started from the interview of kindergarten, I felt the disadvantage of being a small girl, although her performance is quite good as well. Anyway, I'm proud of my daughter.

大家沒有second interview的家長不要覺得自己個女唔smart。考小學 - 運氣，小朋友狀態都好重要。

特別是這些group interview，小朋友可能被人睇漏眼。

我女去年都沒有second interview，但最後又竟然入到更難入的SPCC（我們都是無關係人）。希望大家都入到適合的學校！加油！

you have a very positive thinking.
I always think my girl has done quite well in her kindergarten and may be the kind of girl DGJS wants...until I received the 'reject' letter on 25/10.   Not many hard feelings except that I would prefer a straight reject letter.

I won't think my girl is inferior than the others just because she can't go to the 2nd round.  She is shy and is not the kind of person that stands out among a group.  Even she can proceed to the 2nd round, there is also a high chance of receiving a final reject letter.

Anyway, best wishes to your girl.

老實說入到2nd in都過半機會是reject 的, 早點知也沒什麼, 不過女兒給比下去的感覺真不太好。經過一輪面試, 明白多了學校的要求, 對手的特質和女兒的弱項, 反而可以公正點去評價她, 調節期望和想辦法改進弱項。

入唔到DGJS 2nd interview 既小朋友唔好氣餒呀，你地一定會搵到一間適合你地既好學校架，繼續努力！

其實我唔係幾明點解DGJS要出一封 "無2nd interview但又話12月先出final results" 既信俾無得2nd in既申請人，我估無得2nd in就連waiting 既機會都無架啦，咁不如直接出一封 reject letter 咪仲乾脆利落。其他學校都係咁做，真係有Ｄ奇怪！

I also thought like this way but I prefer the letter gives us firmer answer. Now we have to wait for two months for a 100% certified letter. Cruel!!!

you can imagine how many parents will call DGJS if not every single applicant receives a written reply from DGJS during this week.

就係LI個感覺唔開心,其實都預左,全港數一數二既學校WO!

yeah its just a 感覺. I ask myself, is my daughter the TOP TOP student in HK? Does she look like she is going to stand in front of all the HK people and talk? I am not quite sure... though she has a lot of potential!!  :  )
