以上的方法我也試過，都ｏｋ和有用，尤其初初見到ｄ長字，識得拆開少小朋友就冇咁驚。可能因為妳太遲學ｐｈｏｎｉｃｓ，所以特別覺得難，如６歲前能掌握到基本慨念，條路會易行很多。，下不過現時長期記憶ｌｅｉ部份我都未找到些很有效方法，希望ｐｈｏｎｉｃｓ會幫到。

小時候我們學不到phonics，對英文沒什麼觸角，沒觸角令我們已英文字母為單位，當看到英文字（eg.dog）我們不是聯想到狗的樣子，亦不是想到其讀音，而是續個續個英文字母d跟著o跟著是g。請留意小朋友是否這樣，因為這樣是不可能讓英文生字的串法變成長期記憶記著。

到大個一點（大約中四五）的時候，用的方法就轉變了。
開始學到類似phonics的方法~
e.g social and financial,兩者都有cial，只要知道cial的讀音，就可以懂讀許多字的其中一個音節。還有ter her per等等......要小朋友了解英文字是怎樣組成，是記字的第一步。

之後，我們會用word將要串的字打出來，例如:responsibility,咁好長好多隻字母，其實對我們是困難的，我們先拆有多少個音節，然後將整隻字拆開，用不同顏色表示（我們用黃藍相間），re spon si bi li ty ，係重音加底線，係旁邊加上大大的中文解釋字or實物圖片。當然你們的小朋友學的字不會那麼長，但都可以試試用這個方法。不過，到現在我們最難攪的是短字，只有一音節那些...因為懂就懂沒看過就完全不懂。

我們每次大約會溫十字生字，要懂認讀串才算學了。建議每次溫的字都是同類，例如水果類、餐具刀叉等等。一開始每天溫習一次，可以是要小朋友讀一次串一次（不要用很耐的時間），一星期後小朋友還是記得的話就減少為一星期一次，一個月後他還可以答到的話就該成了深層記憶了。不過，多點在生活中學英文，例如看到一件物件，知道小朋友是學過英文的就問問他的讀法，不懂的話，就下次溫習時特別留意那隻字，會學得快些的。另外，每次不要溫那麼多，小一至小三的話，每次三至五隻已經很足夠。

如是beginner level,以我愚見,冇乜所謂,最緊要係辦認到begin sound 和 end sound, e.g., hand, hen 既begin sound 一樣係h 音,咁富當然第一步係要識講到個英文字.但我覺得個challenge係如可令小朋友有興趣學佢地覺得好難o既野,初初可利用一些玩具,塗工物料等等引發佢地.

我會試吓買黑板, 睇吓可唔可以 ...

我叫我小朋友寫白板時d字寫大隻d,個theory係用大肌hence用到腦部不同部份來幫助記憶,所以最好買大塊一d,不過lei樣係我自己諗出來的,點都好,希望幫到你.

My son has attended the fast for word organised by polyu and after that he was able to pick up phonics in phonic class (one to one). It is useful for kids that are not able to learn phonics.

we use a white board also.  supposed to help from short term memory to long term memory.

I have a blackboard at home. Usually during dictation time, I will ask her to write on paper for the first time, then write the words on the blackboard.

It works really well, better memories than in writing on the paper...quite good outcome, manageable to dictations on Chinese and English

最近試過一些multi-sensory approach (如用play-doh) 和 phonics, 都覺有些效,但如上面所講,不能急進,for phonics,at this stage,我只用3 letter words 和教第一個音的分別, eg, man, fan, van.  大家不防一試. 如有時間自己和小朋友一起學phonics, lei 個 site也不錯:

My girl has difficulties in using Phonic, but I teach her step by step, repeat and repeat... then at the same time, teach her to read loudly and point to the word when reading thruogh computer as visal stimulation is better for this kind of children.

Three months day by day training, improvement observed...then repeat the cycle again to consolidate the learning, another 2-3 months, much better.

Do use one to one learning, don't join any tutorial group. Using cards and pictures..
