My suggestion that you may find a main stream school which have 'I' seat , then no need to worry the teachers how to handle your children, because they have experience on that.
My boy is four years old and has just started to study at "S" school.
I am thinking of letting him repeat K3 at mainstream kindergarten after his completion of the 2-year intensive training at "S" school. I hope that may help him equip himself better with all the skills for the mainstream primary school for 2-year training rather than 1-year training. Since he may need to adapt himself for mainstream education, it seems it's better to let him repeat at mainstream kindergarten first getting warm-up before the real challenge coming --mainstream primary education. However, his birthday is in August, and I was told that because of that ("over-age"?!)he may not be able to repeat. Could anyone share his / her experience? Any kindergarten accepts enrollment of "over-age" child ? Thanks.
I'll go for main stream first as this's easier to adopt a normal life when they grow up. PArents must be geared to tackle all issues. Apart from academic , social, problem solving, EQ ....they all come in a package.
Tremandrous effort is required. Once the kid is WELL PREPARED, he'll have a better chance to survive in main stream school. If he's NOT prepared, your success lies on 'luck' only.
I have a fd's daughter repeating kindergarden in"I" seat even she will over 7 yrs old in P1. She is also having problem in doing himework as asaid by her mom. Should u ask yr kid to do on emore yr in P1? Perhaps using this yr as for adaption.
