"The respect of parent's freedom to educate their children according to their vision of what education should be has been part of international human rights standards since their very emergence."

在英美home schooling 只要符合條件,是合法的, 而且開始多了人家教育孩子. 在香港,除非有好特殊情況(例如外地暫住工作的外國人). 政府是否應考慮香港市民也有home schooling 的選擇權呢?

香港有位名人，他的太太在小兒子幼年時也是在家推行home schooling, 不過到小一都係要進入學校，最後選了自然學校。

我都是最近才知，曾有好幾個家長一起做Home School來代替主流學校，但有些科目再請人來教，她說她們跟美國一套教學方法去做，有同教署申請，教署定期去查核，而且她們不是在家中，而是集中在一個地方。我朋友的朋友那兩個女兒由兒時至今，現在大那個有十三歲，不過聽聞現在又有另一轉變，不過最新如何我不太清楚。

除非小朋友身体有特殊情況、如自閉、情緒病等，要悉心照料，又或者迎合一些要四處漂遊工作的家長，否則，我想推行home schooling 最大的原因係家長唔認同大部份學校教學，覺得自已子女在家學，會比去學校學得更好。據知好多選擇home schooling的美國家長係因為太多校園暴力、濫藥等問題。

如果可以將home schooling的理念推行在學校中(因材施教，小班教學，給予更大自由讓學生發揮，就如Tippi所尊重的生活教育...可行嗎?)
像芬籣等優質教學的北歐國家，唔知當地父母對home schooling 的渴求又會唔會一樣？
唔知呢，我覺得home schooling 有點樣'自救行動'。你教不如我教。對有條件和合資格的家長來說，home Schooling 當然係多個選擇。

我又覺得,home schooling冇市場不是主流是一回事,政府是否容許,又是另一回事.或者社會上有少數非主流的父母,有能力有資源去做幾年的home schooling?我是支持提供這一選擇(home schooling)~雖然我不是有能力有資源去提供幾年home schooling的家長.
