PIPS Playgroup

Is PIPS playgroup good? Any mom's baby tried before? Please advise. Thanks.

we were in ms wu's (主任) session, she was the best.  since there will always be people leaving, it shouldnt be hard to change once you are in.

if I am a full time mom, I think I will attend both too... but I'm not.. I know so far... there is only 1 graduate from PIPS local stream... all graduates are from int'l stream & go to int's school..
anyway...as i don't think i will let my son study PIPS PN... i will choose Vic PG so that he can be familiar with the campus and teacher first...

I know PIPS PN no need to interview... just first come first serve basis.. if I cannot get offer from those one dragon K.. i guess it won't be too late to apply PIPS...

for vic, its half in cantonese and half in english and some nets are abc/bbc.

At that time, my son attended PIPS’ Tues/Thursday playgroup and Victoria’ Sat playgroup.
If you ask me to compare among the two, I like PIPS much more.
Reasons:
1).
2 hrs is a bit long for smaller baby (ie my son started at 14 mns and he has a hard time in the first 3 mns).
2).
Ms Cherie in PIPS has more patient and heart for the kids- which I really appreciate.

Also, attending Vict. Playgroup has no guarantee to their PN.
I think going to their weekdays playgroup may have higher chance, but just weekend playgroup probably has no priority compared to other kids.

BTW, PIPS graduates normally go to international primary schools or IB schools.
If you prefer traditional schools, you can switch out after PN.
My son will attend another school for K1, but I still think PIPS’ playgroup and PN is very good.

7 May will start the Sat playgroup.
As the time will the same as PIPS.. i guess i will quit PIPS la...
hope Victoria's PG is not bad la..

seems the playgroup comment in forum is not so good..

One reason to apply Victoria playgroup is to have higher chance to get a seat for PN...
I love to apply one dragon schools... but Victoria is quite expensive for primary & secondary school...

I've visited PIPS before & I'd love its outdoor playground and the library.
But I haven't visited Victoria (HG) campus yet...
I don't think my son will study International school at the end....
of course Victoria PN will be one of my targets...

Oh congratulations!!

I have been waiting for Victoria for over 1 year too and hoping to receiving their call soon.

I have chosen Mon/Wed/Fri at Victoria and Tue/Thurs at PIPS, if Victoria takes my son as well, I will let him attend both.  No conflict and can make comparison between them.

Besides, attending playgroup is also a way to 'secure' or have a better chance to get in their PN.

What is your plan?

my son attended playgroup at PIPs two years ago and some of his friends went on to Victoria playgroup.  my girl is now attending, both had Ms. Cherie.  So speaking of high turn over, not so, and my son's friend who went to Victoria also said their turn over is high.  Curriculum similar, both very clean, PIPs has outdoor, but Victoria doesn't, but if you want to go on to Victoria KG, then you must go to their play group.

I highly recommend PIPS playgroup.
My son attended their playgroup from 9/09 to 8/10 and now is in their PN.
The playgroup teacher for my son is still teaching the playgroup in this school calendar y ...

My girl is 14m now, attending PIPS pg on M/W/F, and her teacher is Miss Cherie, very nice teacher.
