維記有一個好處，就是因才施教，例如練習英文串字及造句+默書，老師會按小孩不同程度給他們難度不同的字去學習及練習。

相對K2，K3的功課量和難度的確提高了不少，校方今年亦投放資源，加插了小學形式的上課環節，讓小孩習慣小學的上課模式。

以小兒(K3)為例，每星期學習+練習中文寫字家課四天，一篇中文周記，兩份數學功課，英文phonics和串字+作句功課各一，中英文圖書各一本，另有小兒覺得可令他"忙錄"的堂上活動。

It should be noted that, based on my knowledge, most parents do apply for some famous DSS/private schools.  Some but not all parents enrolled their children to interview classes (I know one who started the interview class as early as Oct the previous year).

但係我所知維記過往都有不少學生入到男女拔/英華, 都幾push的小學. 維記未必係好push的幼稚園, 但學習模式係train學生的思維. 所以考小一成績算不錯了.

實在我係想選維記, 只是君匯港未有考 ...

My understanding is similar to thomasha. Kids there are in general less easy than other socalled famous KGs (such as CCKG, KV, Bo Shan) for admission into the very few extremely dream primary schools for parents.  I believe this is for many reasons -
Family value/belief on child education - If parents' dream schools are those rather pushy ones, such parents would not choose Victoria in the first place.  Parents also rarely send their kids to interview classes - at least among parents in my kid's circle.

School training - Too obvious that Victoria's curriculum is not designed to train kids for schools of that style.

May I ask whether you are a Victoria K parent?  If you are, you can try to ask your child's class teacher for such info.  K3's Parents' day is coming soon for the Causeway Bay campus and I think it should be around that period for other campuses.  From the way you asked, it seems that you are planning to apply for Victoria K shortly.

According to my knowledge, some are accepted by St Paul's Coed, Ying Wa, ISF, St Stephen's (Stanley), HKUGA, Kau Yan, etc., and some do not have any offer yet.  I have not been asking around other parents , so I don't have specific info; but class teachers have a table of schools applied for and offers received from enquiries on parents' days.  

You may also refer to Victoria's web site for last year's statistics for different campuses and as a whole for your reference.

I'm a K2 parent.  There should be about 60 K3 pupils in South Horizons campus.

I don't think kids studying at Victoria have poor class discipline.  Bear in mind that exploration needs reaching out and asking questions without hesitation.

Phonics teaching is excellent.  My worries are their Chinese and their weakness in story telling and narration.  Many parents have to send their children to interview classes and Chinese classes.

My daughter is in a whole day K3 class. It is great! I see very good discipline among the kids and the class teacher teaches them good manners. Occasionally, parents are invited to be a lunch parent (just join the kids for lunch in the classroom). Kids take turn to get their rice and food, eat quietly with minimal talking. Then they'll get their own soup, and then fruits. Bring their bowls back. Brush teeth, doing the daily dairy log, then drawing.....

As for the P1 admission results, I know there are kids going to DBS, St. Stephens (in Stanley), Marymount, Raimondi, Kau Yan, VSA, ISF, etc.

I hear so many times that people commented Victoria kids' discipline is not very good. I have to say that personally, I have NEVER felt this way.

For kids, kindergarten should be just a place for 'socializing'. A relaxing atmosphese would help them grow and open themselves to new things and people. Too strict an environment is just as bad. Regarding the statistics for P1 distribution, almost 100% of the efforts comes from parents. Kindergarten only provides a decent feedback on kids. They cannot help them to get into good schools by providing extra trainings, etc but parents can!
