My friend also wanted his son to go for DBS last year. She had consulted many friends including those taught in DBS several years ago. They think QC should be a better choice in terms of students' behavior and friendship. However, DBS boys look smarter and more confident. Finally, my friend chose QC.

So, is DBS a very good school and worth to spend $33,000 fee a year? I heard some negative comments about DBS from this forum. Suppose your boy is very smart and is Band 1A, you believe QE or LSC accept your boy and DBS accept as well. Wha is your choose?

I guess all-rounded is a relative term, DBS relative to some other schools not just focus on academic results.

以下全是個人意見,
本人亦認識一些家長兒子讀這校
現時的英華只可說是運動名校
在學術只是一般,並不突出
可以在很多公開比賽看到.
而且跟小學結龍後,
還要過幾年後才得知學生水平和質素.

至於樓主,我覺得皇仁是津校,應無可能有位,除非你朋友幫
到你入這些學校,至於直資或私校在校網是有公告.
決選方面是因應地區,交通,合小朋友發揮所長和兒子喜歡.
以上三所中學都有很多高質數學生,但名校也有不合格的
會考生,

我想其他樓主反應如此強烈是基於這句'小兒就讀的中學不算是什麼名校'的話.對於大部份人來說,這句說話頗難認同.

我贊同BillyM的講法，大家不應冷嘲熱諷，樓主想問小小意見。

其實，3間都不易讀，尤其是直資的2間，中二收得你，必定是成績好而入精英班。精英班裏競爭很大，要讓仔仔有心理準備。

這個問題很重要,是不容迴避的.如果如你所言,他覺得學校的大哥哥很好,學生對學校有很大的歸屬感及榮譽感,我相信你孩子也必然受到這種氣氛的感染.孩子已是中一,他的取態是不可不考慮的!

請讓樓主自行決定，但我只是相信每一個人看見這post，也會百思不得其解為什麼有需要有轉校的想法？

既然你和仔仔也非常鍾意英華，我看不出有需要去考慮轉校，而且就算成年人轉工，面對新環境也會有一定壓力，何況是小朋友，剛剛認識一班朋友仔，第二年又要去間新學校從新適應，對嗎？

就算好采轉到一間成績比英華好一點點的，會吾會一年後又發現一間再好一點的，又考慮再轉？對小朋友很痛苦的呀，對嗎？問問仔仔，是他自己想轉校，或只是想滿足自己的期望？

多事了。
