To: BK_EDITOR,
I have found some wrong answers in the dinosaur quiz answer sheet.
Q1: Since T. Rex had two fingers on each hand, so the answer should be (C) four fingers.
Q3: The horned dinosaurs’ horns were on top of their heads, so they were in the wrong position to dig for food. Usually the animals that dig for food would have tusks to dig because they were in the right position. The dicynodonts were the ones that used tusks to dig for food, and they were not dinosaurs, but synapsids. Another example is the hog. They were probably used in display (http://www.britannica.com/facts/ ... scussed-in-dinosaur) and competing for leadership and mating rights. They engaged in intraspecific combat. (http://palaeo-electronica.org/2004_1/horn/issue1_04.htm) The best answer in the question should be (D) “display”.
Q4: There should have been (C) ten kinds of dinosaur teeth. (http://www.enchantedlearning.com ... anatomy/Teeth.shtml)
Q5: Adult T.rex had a variety of sizes of teeth in their jaws at one time, as teeth were broken and new (smaller) ones grew in to replace them. One T. rex was found with some teeth up to 13 inch (33 cm) long. (http://www.enchantedlearning.com ... rs/dinos/Trex.shtml)
The nearest answer is (C): 8 inches.
Q10: Utahraptor had a huge curved claw on the second toe; one is preserved at 22 centimetres (8.7 in) in length and is thought to reach 24 centimetres (9.4 in) restored. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utahraptor) The nearest answer should be (C) 25 cm.
