想問下D小學鍾意收大B, 咁有冇話唔會收超大B架?

If your son born in 30 Sept 2008,  he will be:

K1 - 1 Sept 2011 (2 years 11 months)
P1 - Sept 2013 (5 years 11 months)

If repeat 1 year,
P1 - 1 Sept 2013 (6 years 11 months) , still can enjoy 5 分 for 適齡 (min. is 5 years 8 months to 7 years) at 自行派位.

In fact, those born between 1 Sept to 31 Dec, can be regarded as "small boy".

If my kid birth in 30 sept 2008 and repeat one year, does it reach the requirement, 5 years 8months? Or already over the age? I am not sure how to calculate, thanks for your advice..

From my experience this year, most schools will only require applicants to reach 5 years 8 months when they enter primary 1 (i.e. born before 31 Dec).  

But  Pui Ching only accepts applicants born between 1 Sept 2004 to 31 Aug 2005.   Kids will reach 6 years old (older than Ed. Dep's min. requirement 5 years 8 months) when they enter primary 1 next year.

Raimondi will state in the application form that "priority will be given to those born within the same period above."  But they also accepted small kids born after Sept.

我朋友話，如果想考直資或私立小學，細B考到的機會會較少，除非你的小朋友特別SMART。當然，如果只想參加大抽獎，就細B都OK.

要擔心的實很多，但女仔快熟一些，也許很快可追到其他同學，也許可向學校反映一下意見!!!

So good that you guys have the choice. My girl is July's kid. She is the smallest one in her PN class now. Seems to me her teacher just ignore her because she is less responsive & bright than those BIG kids. I am worried if she will lose all her self confidence after the one year PN's life.

我報 咗(1) K1 e.g. 培正( 只收大仔, 要repeat K1)  及一條龍幼、小 (小學有保障D)
(2)  插心儀 kinder K2 (直上做細仔)

結果 (1) & (2) 都okay.  阿仔發展okay 和老師分析阿仔性格, 跟大個D同學 學習也無自卑、反而令佢更易copy, 我揀咗(2) 直上。留番個repeat 機會,  萬一考唔到心儀小學就 repeat K3 or 小一。 阿仔依家K3, 好彩都考到心儀小學。

已有間好offer又心儀, 就比佢試吓上K1.   唔使咁快諗repeat啦.  再視乎(1) 個人發展 and (2) 同老師商量看看進度。

最後, 再諗遠D -> 你心儀的小學 。 有D家長想子女, 考小學多D優勢和有足夠能力上小學, 會repeat K1  。 但最好轉校repeat K1, 襯細唔太明, 易接受D。 新學 習環境, 避免重讀原有課程, 乏味。

有D家長會覺得浪費時間, 想直上。K2 or K3 再算。

我自己就覺得如果11/12出世,而又考唔到心儀嘅幼稚園REPEAT一年都OK, 但如果你今年已經考到間你地心儀的幼稚園咁就唔需要特登去REPEAT. 但好似我仔仔咁9月出世就算今年考唔到心儀幼稚園都要頂硬上, 最多下年考一次培正+考返今年報的幼稚園不過係插班K2

我個囡是 0812 尾, 足足細人地一年.

我打算俾佢出年一月讀 pn, 九月讀 k1 (可能跟 pn 同一學校 / 轉校. 因有另一間 k1 有 offer).

朋友好多都叫我俾佢做細囡, 因為 k3 考小學有著數. 不過, 我都係諗吓先. 如果佢真係讀唔到才俾佢 repeat. 最主要是, 佢不用特別去考小學.

我阿仔(Dec 出生) 當年考K1 ,  兩歲都未夠, 都係無心儀kinder offer . 我於是留番係 PN kinder 讀K1.  到第二年, 再幫阿仔重考K1 及插 K2.  結果和第1年相反.... sure win.... 真係好 ...
