Yes, I still love my alma mater and I strongly hope that my girl can get the offer.

Last year when I had to consider which schools to apply to for my daughter, I also considered DGJS. DGS/DGJS didn't get her reputation for no reason.
But I decided not to apply in the end because I didn't think it's a suitable school for my daughter. I probably would feel really bad if I had to give up a chance to go to a prestigious school, i.e., if my daughter was being accepted.
Recently I heard from a friend that a girl got into a well-known traditional girl's school (not DGJS) and the girl is now having a hard time in P1. The parents said there's too much homework. I thought to myself, they should have thought about it before they accepted the offer.
What I'm trying to say is that, we as parents should try to find a school that is suitable for our children. Entering a prestigious school is not a ticket to win.
Cellojoyce: You are right. If you use "Yours sincerely" at the end, it's better to begin with "Dear Mr..or Ms..."
That is one way we can differentiate good English from the rest.

I think you shouldn't have written such a rude statement. Personally I don't think there is anything wrong with ABTreasure's English. Pardon us if we are not up to your standard here. Maybe you should ...
Actually juliancy herself got it wrong when she said "I'm petrified..." - she should have said "I was petrified..." ^_^^_^

Most DGS's girls are not as aggresive as you thought. They are just the normal girl. In my old days, we don't have ranking in the examination result. The comparision between classmates are existed (believe it will happen in every school) but not that worse. Among the other prestige and traditional schools, I think DGS is the one that is not SO TRADITION. That is what I looking for.

Frankly, I'm petrified when reading your English and learning that you graduated from DGS.
