請問眞光(堅道) interview問乜? 整個過程由登記、玩玩具、見老師、見校長需要多久?請指教.

Oh, it's ok....not disturbed......it's normal as the children are only 2plus....:D

Although originally I also wanna treat this as a preparation experience as this is the first interview this year.  However, I think I quite like this kindergarten and hope to have good news despite the little "hiccups".  Heard before that some parents will give up places here so if can be put on waiting list, then there are still good chances.  Hopefully won't be rejected lar.

Hope your daughter didn't disturbed by my daughter's crying!  I feel bad later too that I should stay with her so she won't cry and may affect other kids.  Fortunately her crying was just moderate so shouldn't have disturbed the others too much.

I just asked my husband to "squeeze" to the toys cabinets and get a puzzle for my girl....

My girl's performance was just fair on that day.....The toys were not attractive to her and she only got two 沙鎚in the second room...the teacher could only asked the colour of the 沙鎚....

When in the third room, crowded again....a few children cried and walked around.....my girl gave no response to headmistress and was distracted a little bit (though not run away and not cried)....

Anyway, just have some experience and let see la !!

My daughter's interview time is 10:00 a.m....
When we arrived the school, we were asked to wait at a room first.  The room was a bit crowded and my girl could only manage to get a simple toy and play.  When the teacher took us upstairs and entered another room, almost ten children inside the room.  My girl was then interviewed by a teacher.  The questions were :

What's your name ?
Did you have breakfast ?
What did you eat ?
Who took you here ?
What color is her toy ?
The teacher gave a sticker to my girl and asked her what was on the sticker ?

That's all .... No questions to parents !!

Then, all children went upstairs.  The headmistress called the children's name one by one and the children were expected to give response.

Lastly, story time .... the headmistress sat aside and observed the children's response / their attentiveness....

Also similar questions like who take care of the child, if she is going to school already and ask my daughter where she studies.  Basically quite causal chat so no need to be nervous.

But both the teachers asked my daughter a lot of questions.  And instruct her to take things around or asked her what those things she had in her hands, etc.  Both teachers did comment she can talk well (which we thought is her weak point actually).  Not sure if they are being polite, may be.

very casual chat to parents like 1) who take care of the children when you are at work 2) does the kid goes to nursery etc.

asked the kid 1) are you a boy or a girl? 2) what are you playing? 3)where is your eyes, nose etc.

For our case, we actually got interviewed twice by two teachers (later found out it was not meant to be).  The difference is the first teacher have no questions to me while the second one does.  But the process was quite thorough and I was quite satisfy with the arrangement.  I think may be it depends on different teachers on how to handle the interview only.

For the story listening part, unfortunately my daughter was unwilling to be separated from me initially and cried a bit.  But anyway I feel she has done good and willing to stay in her chair to continue.  Later find out she may be tired as she got out of bed too early that morning and travel far to reach the kindergarten which she is not used to.

有同感。老師問題時遲咗黎，問題時又好似好趕時間，又好似無準備噤，真係感覺係唔係好睇重。

Interviewed this morning, there were about 12 applicants in the waiting room, just 2 boys.

Saw the bulliten in classroom, hv a few boys (about 3) in one class (24 students).

I saw teacher will mark a "tick" on the top right hand corner on "some" application forms after meeting with the teacher. And the principal will also remark on the application at once when kid hv responsed to her while she was calling their name in the story telling part. If those doesn't move or response to her call, she won't write anyth on form.

我覺得整個interview都係注重聽故事看專注力多, 老師問問題反而比較casual, 大家有沒有同感?

How many ppl applied this year? I saw last year intake was around 55.

Just came back from interview and the format is quite similar to last year.  The process completes just a bit more than half an hour.  But we arrived early so spend almost 1 hour there eventually.
