收到救恩面試信

去年留位費係$1200，其他學校如真光和蘇浙只是$400，所以我覺得算貴，但去年KY係我囡囡第一個offer，其他未知result或未in，所以最後我都有比，因為驚冇其他offer，而且我囡囡in完出黎好開心，話好鍾意。

1. Some private schools do not allow you to take part in the lucky draw.  They ask you to sign an undertaking to give up the lucky draw when you accept their offer.

2. Places allocated to candidates in the lucky draw are sent to private schools for their reference.  Once a candidate is identified, the private school(s) concerned will take action (put on waiting list, cancel the offer, etc.)

觀察所得，大部份小朋友均穿得相當casual，就算穿裙也應是比較隨便的。

不用考跳舞，只是一般性遊戲。

面試約45分鐘 (雖然面試信說是1小時15分鐘)。

I have already asked the school on this issue by phone.  (It's interesting to note that many of the questions related to specific schools can be answered by the schools themselves.)

1. 1st round and 2nd round acceptances refer to the offers themselves, not the interview rounds (9 or 23/10).

2. If some offers in the 1st round are not accepted at the deadline of registration, the unaccepted places will be given in the 2nd round.

The other question about KY.  They will announce an accepting list after the first round interview (9/10), then announce another list after the second round (23/10).  How do they control the number of accepted students??  For example,  if they accept 50 students in first round (about half of the seats), but in the second round, it turns out many stundents , eg 80, are excellent , what do they do??  May be I think too much, but it's kind of unfair selection.....

KY is my 2nd/3rd choice if the 1st one fails.  For sure I will pay so if the amount is less, that is blessing; if not, yes, still have to go for it.  That's why I said I hope.

Thx thomasha, yes, the point is whether the decision of giving up lucky draw has to be made right at retaining seat.

o個位媽咪o既問題，據我理解，只係一旦交左留位費，係咪就要放棄其他學校，留位費本身似乎唔係重點，可唔可以等其他學校先至係。無論如何，既然其他學校(包括自行，直資或其他私小)未知收唔收，就應該先交留位費，到第時其他學校通知取錄結果，有更心儀o既就去呢間學校註冊同埋放番之前個位出去，無就保持原狀。

至於可否hold住個位去大抽獎，就間間私校唔同，有d會放你入waiting list, 有d o係你留位時就要放棄大抽獎，有d就無限制。

1.  因為問題2的原因, 我同意, 所以大家會報多過一間.

但我覺得大家要先了解自己點解報左衣間或者果間...

eg.先當救恩係後備...
如果一開始救恩就係後備, 即有另一間更心儀的.  後備作用就係萬一更心儀的未能考取...  你就會比小朋友入讀..  咁點解要考慮$$$...  如果一開始已經唔會(沒考慮)比佢讀, 只係人報你報...現在當然好煩...

另外, 當然有d家庭的$$係比較緊張, 咁更要清楚自己可以比乜小朋友, 同小朋友需要d乜...

(我只係想share多d自己睇法...  有錯話我知.... )

1 o係好鍾意同好唔鍾意中間，仲有好多"幾鍾意"，"頗鍾意"等。
2 鍾意o既學校唔係我地話想入就入到，梗係要有d後備啦，萬一心儀o既學校唔收，都仲會有d容易入d又幾好o既學校收。

唔知你係唔係只係報左最鍾意o個間學校呢？

It depends on whether your child is admitted in the 1st round or 2nd round.  In the latter case, you can still wait until the discretionary stage is announced on 22/11, the deadline for confirmation at Kau Yan.
