What do u mean by too local? Can u share more about York ? I heard its english standard is pretty good. I wonder if the english is comparative to the other IS since most of the kids of any school ...
I have considered putting my child in local schools, but after attending the parents' talk at the interview at Stafford, the school principal didn't really amaze me, let's just say. The first thing she said was.... if you went to York for interview last week, what I am going to say and show you now is the same as York. That means Stafford and York are the same!?!
Then I requested for an English interview... remember... I had to request! It's because my son knows very little cantonese. The impression I got from Stafford is that... it's training the children to go to "famous" local schools.. and Stafford is supposed to be more international than York already. They offered my boy a place at Stafford, but we have decided not to go. Besides, they push children to do Cambridge English and international schools won't push children to do these courses.
Anyhow... no offense to anyone... it's just my personal opinion and impression of the school. |
