細B被年齡歧視

有好多學校都唔收細B, 收..都係waiting list.

有D學校連細B form都唔收.

如果要追上K1, 好多幼稚園都會favour讀PN既學生....好慘.

Both of my kids are small b.  One is 2007 Oct and the other is better 2009 Sep, I will keep my fingers cross.
My daughter was in a small Bs class last year (PN) and many of her classmates are born in Nov and Dec.

先申報利益, 我個仔係大B, 不過我自己係超細B, 我係1月中出世, 但係早同年齡小朋友一年讀書, 當年未夠2歲就因為太想讀書 (阿媽送阿哥返學, 我係要入去霸埋一個位, 霸下霸下, 當全班返哂黎冇位坐先逼於無奈走人, 所以幼稚園校長見我咁俾我早讀, 上到小一, 當年EDB 冇咁嚴, 有間小學肯收我...第二年要返去阿哥O個間一齊讀, 本來要REPEAT 小一, 但校長見我成績好, 俾我直上小二.....就係咁, 我由小一到讀完大學, 都係細過同班同學一年. 我仲識一個朋友只係細我一日, 但遲我一年畢業. 所以我絕對係細B受惠者)

但到我做老豆, 我要揀的話都唔想個仔做細B...細個當佢覺得樣樣都追唔到同學, 可能令佢有挫敗感, 唔鍾意讀書返學就大鑊了....所以, 何必格硬想去做細B?

the entrance age for P1 is 5yr 8 months old, so when your children born on dec of that year. He/she will be 5yr8 months old on sept of their P1 year.
I feel unfair to the SMALL B system too, i once applied a kinder at happy valley, the teacher would not even give my child a chance of interview. She just said small b will not be considered. I'm glad she rejected me coz i later got into a even better kinder at cental weeks ago. Her performance maybe a bit worst than Big B when she was 2yrs but as the child grew bigger, u'll see small b can improve a lot. And soon, u can't tell who is big b or small b in the class.

大家都誤會左啦。其實學校就算收左你都無用，因為政府規定，小一入學要足5歲8個月。咁細b到時都係要讀到夠先可以升小學。咁不如俾佢做大b啦。

十二月出世的做大仔大女好似理所當然D, 但十一月, 唔係最細, 遲一年先讀, 又驚學校唔接受申請~

I agree. When you are small a few months does make a lot of difference, why force your baby to be such a difficult situation?  One year does not make a lot of difference.

我有一女一仔 （全部Dec B)，阿女預產期是一月中，豈料她早產， 變成超細女。

當初我也有各位媽咪的想法，覺得細女能力不差，幫她報了K1做細女。 當時的那間ＫＧ也算名校，班中很多年頭出生的大Ｂ，我女比別人矮一個頭， 因為大小肌肉還沒有發展好，很多事情比大B 做的差， 結果小女讀得不開心。

之后我讓她去另一間 KG repeat K1， 做了大B, 理解能力/專注力好了，讀得很開心。

各位家長，如果出名的 KG 受了你的小朋友，但要和其他大B 競爭，你覺得對你的小朋友的發展是好事嗎？ 大女的經驗讓我決定弟弟做大 B.

人地唔take個offer係有多種原因，如果成日諗住人地唔要先俾你呢種心態，我諗呢世人經常都有唔開心了

So where should those Sep - Dec bb go??!

My second son will born in Dec 2010. I will let him to be a big B because he can learn better.  Study is a long term planning and i think study 1 year eailier will not have many benefits.

我個人認為是歧視, 係做過mama都知年紀越細, 差距越大; 每間學校都應有若干班數留給細b, 比賽都要在同一個ground先有得比啦, 何況現在連參賽資格都冇... 唔係話全港冇學校收細b, 將來細b一樣可以出類拔萃, 但現況係Kln Tong D kinder: "歡迎大仔; 我們優先處理"; 我明這是商業策略, 應該在學校背景寫明嘛, 以後個個識年頭生仔; 這個只是細b問題,變成社會問題; 我support樓主, 習慣o下不公平或看不下去的事要出聲, 要爭取, 要討論...無人知結果

The expected due date for my boy was mid-Jan.  I was so happy to have a big boy when I knew that.  Turned out he was borne in late Dec...人算不如天算...
