Today is the first day of registration but the school refused to take the application letter of transferring from PM to AM.  They said they will only receive these letters in May Parent's Meeting....

I also received by PM waiting list. If finally didn't provide AM class that will give up also, because 1-3 pm is bed time for my son.

Not many got rejected, but some only. So far I heard 2-3 of them got rejected.

Oh really?  Many N1 students got rejected???  In our son's class, many got PM seats......  This is really dissappointed.

Anyway, I am going to give up the seat for K1 also.  So I am sure more seats will be released after the registration.

Yesyes. Some of my son's classmate got rejected; some of them got pm seat only although they already marked to request am class. I heard from a teacher that they kid's performance will directly determine whether accept / waiting/ reject. Better performance's kid will be firstly allocated to am/pm class requested by the parent. But as majority parents request am class, so eventually better performance kids will be allocated to am class. That's why they need so long time to arrange it after the interview in Dec 2009.

Last year I know a mom got her son into PN waiting list. She waited till June, the school called to offer a pm seat to her. She then asked to change from pm to am session. At the end, some parents gave up the seat right before they required to pay tuition fee. She finally got a am seat.

I think lots of parents submit several applications to different schools. If you really love this school, I think you can try to call to Admissions to see where you stand in the waiting list to figure out the chance after the registration period which is Jan 27- Jan 29. After the first round registration, I believe lots of seats will be released. Just don't give up too early!

Actually I prefer the PN in KCS but not in K1 since there are more better choices around the island.

My kid answered quickly and kept smiling to the teacher interviewed him. We chose English interview as my kid's first language is English.

From my understanding, lots of seats will be given up around June. I'm one of them gave up am PN seat last year. So for those mommies are on waiting list, don't give up...I still have few interviews till March, haven't able to make a decision which school my kid will finally go.....
