KTS 同 英華 (放棄英華?)

英華註冊咗就冇得大抽獎，但放棄又好可惜。二千幾人爭120個位。但人吔話英華不太注重英文。
不過校長interview 眞係好嚴，過2關才有2nd in。再從300人選120人，我吔仲係細仔+無哥哥+無人事，眞係個仔千辛萬苦考返嚟ga。但校網只是深水步，中學唔知派邊間。
不如放棄英華，keep 住KTS (校網好)，再去大抽獎。

值唔值得呢？

Agree, no hesitation, DON'T give up Ying Wa unless you're a big fan of "super famous schools".

If you give it up, very probably, your ONLY target is "LaSalle" in the lucky draw. Pls bear in mind that the success probability is really really small. If you're placed to a second choice, not to mention others, you will be dissapointed. Why to put it on risk?

This is my friend's case: Catholic (20 marks in the 1st round - fail); Net 41 (fail also!)

I think YW is a good enough choice. As long as the school accepts your son, your son is really a smart boy. Not worth to put his status on risk!

Yes, even you are in Kln City/ Kln Tong net, if your result is not brilliant, you still have chance to be placed to 2nd tier secondary schools.

我絕對同意，無可能要放棄YW! 林校長 係協恩前校長，協恩辦得有聲有色，朗誦 、 音、體比賽年年同女拔爭1st place. 我知Ms Lam都係想証明比大家睇佢辦女校得，辦男校又得。

我有個同學三年前入咗YW教書，Ms Lam要求老師interview 學生要揀最polite，但又要醒目 同好記性！因為佢課程好深，又多，如果D小朋友唔醒目，真係應負唔到。學校放咁多資源栽培學生，將來係想佢地成為最top一族。

所以貴公子考入YW，相信他也是叻仔類，YW 是一個很好很好choice! 是很多很多父母心儀的男校呢！

Make up your decision early..there are over 100 students line up for admission.

YW's English is very good and amongst or better than top tier schools.(my bias answer..my P.2 son could compose an essay of 70 to 100 words, write a letter and commuciate with native English speakers..and delivered a presentation for 1 minute).

What sort of English standard you are looking for?  Shatin College teaches great oral English.

同意, 如不上英華書, 為何讀英華小呢?
成績好的英華仔, 也一樣考喇書...?  人是心多的, 不管讀哪小學, 未一樣再考過, 魚唔過塘點大呢!  
最重要是英華"學費夠平", 可以用餘款補其他科目

P.S. IMO, YW is not a bad choice if you don't have another offers.

Ans:  派? 考英華吾係貪佢有英華書院可以直上咩?  咁當然係叻既六年後可以考喇書同拔書

Ans: 你又係 Net 41 呀?  If not, 邊間小學咁值得放棄 YW 去抽呀?

吾注重英文?
Ans: 邊個人地講呀?  YW 家長?  吾係因為學校通告用中文就話吾注重吓話?  吾注重吾會有 NET 教 phonics 卦?  我覺得每天的功課英文科佔的比重最多.

講真你吾讀後面有百五人多謝你.
KTS 吾係吾好 (我個仔 last year 都考到,  幾年後我都會比我細仔考) 但讀完六年後, 你可能要出盡渾身解數, 吾知同幾多人爭三十個位入英華書院.  如果最後殊途同歸, 我唸吾到有乜理由依家吾讀英華小學 lor.
