yypapa, Far as I know, the Chinese standard varies a lot among the students. Mine, a Y4 kid, should be about average and can read books at his grade level without much difficulty. Some of his classmates are definitely advanced readers, and can write rather sophisticated stuffs. My kid prefers writing poems.
My experience is that there is always a trade-off: one spends more time on one language, then less on another (and even less on the third). At CKY, there are kids who have a particular liking for English, while some prefer Chinese. I feel fortunate that my kid enjoys both although I think his Eng is much better.
CKY students are particularly impressive when it comes to speaking (in Eng and PTH) compared to other local schools.

papa_pop,
I have concern that their Chinese, particularly writen Chinese, is below average comparing to local English primary schools. What's your experience and comment ?
