York vs Victoria

Any idea that which one is better?

My B used to study in Victoria, but can't stand the shortcomings, hence quit and switched to another kindergarten.  For sure some parents have good experience with Victoria.  My bad experience and comments: big class size (28 with 3 teachers), PN is mainly cantonese tough they have English and PTH teacher, the cantonese class teacher do most of the talkings.  Cantonese class teacher is very rude in tone and manner, i am afraid my B will follow her tone!  But to be fair, I do heard friends studying there have good comments.  I guess, campus, class and teachers count more than just the name "Victoria".

十分認同Silverhawk的講法, Victoria 比 York 出名, 論名氣, 呢幾年Victoria 升得好快, 相對而言, York的名望就跌緊, 所以如果想報直資及私立小學, 讀Victoria會好d。

不過, 其實兩間學校唔同"路線", Victoria 走國際學校路線, York 走傳統路線, 好難作比較。好睇家長想要甚麼。

諗野唔好咁理所當然啦, 我覺得佢好唔代表我個仔讀緊lee間, 我沒有仔女讀Victoria, 我個仔連in 都無in lee間, 如無意外, 我個仔會讀st. Paul Church, 雖然我覺得Victoria 好, 但香港唔係只得lee兩間學校, 亦都有好多學校好過lee兩間, 我覺得佢好係因為親戚的實證, 口碑及學校在網內發佈的升學數據.

hi,我自己就鍾意york,c6同99都鍾意,我c6細個讀york,99朋友個仔都係讀york(佢細我c6幾年),之後c6同99朋友個仔小學都係讀kln tong宣小,中學我c6就去左canada,99朋友個仔宜家係哈佛畢業,so,我地好鍾意york.....其實各有優點,亦都好睇小朋友自己.....

其實Victoria既學生好多都係上返維記小學,但係York就針對上其他私小, 英文程度仲好高, 我諗唔係讀返維記小學既話都係讀York穏陣d, 因為佢地又有劍橋試同埋其他課外活動... 我諗寫profolio 都方便d.

我好多親戚d仔女都讀victoria, 所以知道victoria好好, 我姪女成十幾二十年前讀, 宜家都入咗C U讀law了, 姪仔十幾年前讀, 宜家讀緊st. Joseph,  姨甥女宜家小學3年級, 佢當年都考到聖心, St. Clare等小學, 姨甥仔在victoria讀完pre-nursery後考入SKH讀K1, 雖然最後考唔入st. Paul co-edu, 不過都入到st. louis, 算做唔錯.

如果你諗住第日比小朋友考私小or直資, victoria夠出名, 是不錯的choice.

My son is studying at York.  His classmates and he love to go to school.  He learns many things from school everyday.  Especially English training, their net teacher is very good and experienced.

I will choose Victoria for sure. My daughter has been studying there since play group. She enjoys that very much. She keeps smiling and singing every day when I pick her up. The teachers and staff are very nice and care about kids very well. They communicate with the parents very well also.

Why you say that Victoria is better than York?  Do you have kid who also studies at York?  If no, how to compare?  

York is a good school.  The academic stanard is very high.

of course victoria... my son is also studying at victoria, I love this school so much.... things are very organize and everything they provided with quality!  a lot of kids & parents' events and they always invite some famous speakers as parents' talk.  Good school!

I don't know about YORK but just wanna share with you that Victoria is a good school.

My girl is now studying Pre-nursery @ Victoria, I found that she enjoys it very much. She sings English & Chinese songs after she returns home from school. She also tells me what has happened with her in the school.

Though many parents say that Victoria is very commercial, I really want to say they do give me the feeling of QUALITY TEACHING at least from the class she is now attending and her class teachers at school.

I hope my sharing helps.
